Last year we had a “camping” experience at Porsche. This year, it’s Audi’s turn to shine.
They’ve partnered with Burnt Ends Bakery, famous for their doughnuts, to open up the Audi x Burnt Ends Bakery at Chinatown.
This cafe is situated inside Audi House of Progress, their showroom that is just a five minutes walk from Chinatown MRT Station Exit D.
Our honest review of Audi x Burnt Ends Bakery
Burnt Ends Bakery honestly needs no introduction for their bakes. They’re affiliated with Burnt Ends restaurant, which has held its One-Michelin star since first awarded in 2018.
But here are a couple of exclusive items that are only available at the Audi outlet.
German-inspired bakes
As Audi is a German automotive brand, Burnt Ends Bakery has designed three new German-inspired items to add to their repertoire.

For doughnuts, the Apple Strudel ($6) was packed with warm and comforting spices, while the Blackforest Doughnuts ($6) was filled with a light chocolate mousse that’s elevated with berries.
Those who have tried their doughnuts before shouldn’t be surprised by the quality — soft, fluffy dough with a quality-tasting filling as usual.

For a true game-changer, you have to try their German Pretzels ($6).
This was unlike any other pretzels we’ve had in Singapore. Firstly, the texture is lightly chewier. But it’s really the complex assortment of spices it was baked with that caught us off guard. Admittedly, I could not decipher what blend was used, and all the staff said was “German spices”. But, to best describe it, it has that licorice profile that star anise and cloves give off.
German-inspired drinks
Burnt Ends Bakery really ascended to the next level with their coffee programme.

Their Filter Coffee ($8), with the Ethiopia Okoluu Shaakkisoo Guji and Kenya Kianjuki AA on the menu, was smoothly and properly extracted.
And while I’m usually deterred by sweet coffee, I’d highly recommend everyone to try at least one of their signature beverages.

The Tiramisu Latte ($10) had a nice contrast between the bold and bitter espresso and the sweet mascarpone cream. It’s really as if you’re drinking a liquid form of the Italian dessert.
Espresso-based coffee starts from $4.25.
