Located at ION Orchard, the cafe’s signature coffee — Magic ($6) — is a double ristretto topped with milk. A ristretto is extracted with half the amount of water that’s typically used for a latte. Hence, you can expect a heavy-bodied coffee with a strong kick of caffeine. Think of it as a latte, but stronger.

Of course, not forgetting the Edible Cup, which is made from oats and grains. Diners can top up $3 for it. Although it was primarily “for the gram” and the edible cup was dry, it did its job of holding the contents of the coffee well without being soggy or falling apart. Puzzle Coffee’s main intention for this is to reduce waste anyway.

Origin Grill at Shangri La Singapore has just revamped their menu, offering a curated selection of premium cuts. Enjoy Wagyu beef at its purest form through their Full Blood Wagyu, a label for cows that are strictly from a 100% wagyu lineage. Instead of the usual ribeye and striploin, get their Stone Axe ($58), which is the rump cap, better known as picanha, for its intense meaty flavours.

While steaks are their speciality, do not miss out on their appetisers, which were the dishes that had me in a chokehold. We recommend the Wagyu Tartare ($28) and Crispy Pork Belly ($28).

While a la carte dishes are available on the menu, we recommend a prime steak from the wagon instead.

The Creek Stone pine USDA Black Angus Rib Eye ($2.8 per 10g, minimum 200g) was bestowed with a godlike marbling and cooked to a perfect wall-to-wall medium rare despite being the most affordable item on the wagon. Aged for 28 days, it was tender and flavourful, especially when paired with their green peppercorn sauce, which had a brighter aroma that typical peppercorn sauces.

Known for using every part of the chicken, this restaurant offers a premium BBQ experience that is a refreshing change from the usual KBBQ restaurants in Singapore.
