Would you believe us if we said that Hanoi’s matcha scene is more developed than you think it is?
If you’re a fan of all things matcha, here’s the ultimate matcha-hopping guide to find the best matchas in Hanoi. This includes basic matcha lattes, to speciality matcha drinks, and even matcha desserts!
1. (á) the matcha space

This is actually the best matcha cafe in Hanoi — we came back three times in five days.
(á) the matcha space serves everything matcha, priced at roughly VND 60,000 per drink. You can also top up additional matcha for just VND 10,000 per gram.
Their matcha latte is great, but their standouts have to be speciality drinks like Yuzu Matcha and Pistachio Matcha, which offers the perfect balance of matcha and whatever it’s paired with.
Location: 93b Ng. 91 P. Trần Quang Diệu, Quang Trung, Đống Đa, Hà Nội
Opening hours: 9am-10pm
2. Nagocha Matcha Specialty & Tea House @ Hanoi West Lake

Not gonna lie, this matcha cafe is quite pricey (around VND 180,000). But if you want to enjoy matcha in a Japanese tea house, this is the only cafe in Hanoi that offers that.
Nagocha is a two-storey shophouse along West Lake, and every bit of it is designed to mimic a traditional tea house.
In addition to the usual matcha lattes and hojicha lattes, purists will also be delighted to find that they serve koicha and usucha. You can also order Matcha Croissants (VND 129,000), Matcha Mousse (VND 149,000), and other light bites.
Location: 38 P. Quảng An, Quảng An, Tây Hồ, Hà Nội 100000, Vietnam
Opening hours:
Mon-Thu: 8:30am-10pm
Fri-Sun: 8:30am-10:30pm
3. Dao Matcha

With more than seven outlets around the city, you can literally get a decent cup of matcha anywhere you want in Hanoi.
While Dao Matcha gives off a fast-food vibe to their brand — with the sheer number of drinks on their menu — their matcha is actually pretty decent. Their Premium Matcha Latte (VND 60,000) hit the spot, and if you’re a fan of speciality matcha drinks, we heard that their Yuzucha (VND 55,000) and Matcha Earl Grey (VND 50,000) are pretty popular too.
Location: Multiple locations
4. Kismet Coffee

Nothing that special about the menu, but they do have a pretty decent cup of Oat Matcha Latte (VND 50,000), and it is located near Cho Hang Thung Dong Tac, a popular thrift market in Hanoi.
The cafe also offers a number of board games that you can play for free.
Location: 30 Ng. 4 P.Đặng Văn Ngữ, Trung Tự, Đống Đa, Hà
Opening hours: 11am-8pm
5. Hanoi Croissant and Coffee

Hanoi is famous for their banh mi, but you’ve gotta give this bagel cafe a try.
Can’t go wrong with a Red Bean Matcha Creamcheese Bagel (VND 60,000), where the bagel is made with matcha powder. But if that’s not enough, you can complement it with a glass of matcha, available in plain, strawberry, and mango.
Location: 46 P. Nguyễn Hữu Huân, Lý Thái Tổ, Hoàn Kiếm, Hà Nội 100000, Vietnam
Opening hours: 6:30am-10pm
