If you’re planning to visit Cat Cat Village in Sapa…
Here’s everything you need to know about Cat Cat Village, including its ticket prices, how to get there from the city centre, and what’s there really to do there.
How much are the tickets for Cat Cat Village?

Tickets are prices at VND 150,000 ($6), and you must get a ticket to enter the village. There are two entrances where you can purchase this. One is closer to the city centre (Exit A), while the other is at the further end (Exit B) — closer to Cat Cat Waterfall.
What is there to do at Cat Cat Village?
Expect the most gorgeous panoramic view of rice terraces, as well as unique shopping experiences. Highlights include a handmade leather bag at reasonable prices, as well as a limestone home decors and functional boxes that are handcrafted by a family who has been in the field for generations.

The best attractions in the village include Cat Cat Waterfall, which is located closer to the Exit B, the farther exit from the city centre.
Tourists who do not wish to hike, albeit an easy one, or who simply lack the time in their itinerary, can simply walk down the road from Exit A and Exit B. Cat Cat Waterfall is located 400m from Exit B. You can either walk or pay VND 10,000 for a buggy ride.

In terms of shopping, we have two unique stores for you to consider. The first is literally the first shop you’ll see when you enter via Exit A. They sell handcrafted leather goods, made with buffalo leather in Sapa. The quality is amazing, and you might wonder if you should spend your money at the first store. The answer is yes — the prices are reasonable, and you can only find one other store at the halfway point, which in my opinion, is lower in quality and higher in price.
The other store, Hieu, is a local brand that spans generation, featuring handicrafts made from limestone and other lavish materials.
Cafes and restaurants in Cat Cat Village

For lunch with a view, head to Hoa, which is the mid-point of the village. The restaurant overseas a river and a waterfall.
Prices of dishes average at VND 50,000.
How long should I spend at Cat Cat Village?

If you plan to explore the village from one end to another, you’ll need about 2-3 hours, add an extra hour if you’re planning to grab lunch there (we recommend it; here’s why).
Honestly we took close to five hours, but theta because it was raining halfway and the steps are rather slippery, so we had to walk a little slower. We also spent a little too long on shopping.
How to go to Cat Cat Village?

From Sunworld Sapa Ticket Station, regarded as Sapa’s city centre, you can either take a Grab, which takes 7-10 minutes, or hike down the village, which takes 30 minutes.
When you’re halfway there, look out for a sign that says “Cat Cat Village shortcut”. It leads to a flight of stairs that brings you right to the closer entrance. Otherwise, you’d have to take quite a long detour.
