The Lawson Mount Fuji spot might be blocked, but there’s a better alternative.
Imagine cruising through the picturesque countryside near Mount Fuji in a cute, compact kei car. The Choro-Q Mini Car Driving Experience around Lake Kawaguchi offer a unique way to explore the town’s hidden lakes and charming villages.
What to expect from the Choro-Q Mini Car Driving Experience?
If you’ve been seeing videos of people driving around with a view Mount Fuji, this activity is it.
Organised by Fuji-Go Q Tours, this 3-hour guided ride lets you explore Lake Kawaguchiko in a kei car, a category of electric mini cars in Japan.
The activity starts and ends at Kawaguchiko Station, making it convenient for travellers who are exploring Yamanashi and Kansai via train.
You’ll drive approximately 20km, stopping at various scenic viewpoints, vibrant flower parks, and hidden local gems. Along the way, you’ll have plenty of chances to take photos — both the stunning landscapes (yes, Mount Fuji) and of you in your stylish car.

Halfway through your tour, you’ll be given 30 minutes of free time at Oishi Park, where you can freshen up, use the toilet or get a cup of coffee.
How much does the Choro-Q Mini Car Tour cost?
The price of this activity is $360 per person on Klook.
What do I need to prepare?
To join this tour, you must have a valid international driver’s license, as all cars are single-seaters. However, those who can’t drive can still participate by riding in a regular vehicle with the guide for an additional fee.
Also, be sure to bring a windbreaker and a hat for comfort, as weather conditions can get cold and windy.
