FruitCard Odyssey is an adorable fruit-themed personality test that offers basic insights into your character traits. You’ll get a 5-point scale for the personality traits: sweetness, tartness, adaptability, nutrient density, as well as three phrases that describes what type of person you are. Lastly, you’ll be able to find out which two “fruits” you’re most and least compatible with.

What’s interesting about this quiz is that each result is inspired by an Myers–Briggs Type Indicator (MBTI) result.

The correlation is both results are derived by the “rareness” of the personality type. However, do note that compared to other similar quizzes, the rareness of the FruitCards here are rounded up and down. Hence, FruitCards with the same “rareness’ is assigned to the MBTI type it represents the most, based on our understanding of each personality type.

The storyline is simple, but really adorable.

You, a human, is randomly invited to a mystical world — Fruitville. You can only access this magical land via your dreams, and honestly, whichever option you pick, you’ll still be transported there.

When you wake up, you notice the fresh aroma of fruits, and you realise that you’ve arrived at Fruitville. Walking and talking fruits, such as an apple and a banana, approaches you.

The subsequent questions are centered around your decisions in Fruitville: will you join the citizens for a “FruitFest”, would you rather try out the interesting fruits there or chat with the citizens, and what do you think about the magical land.

If you’re familiar with MBTI and their personality types, you are likely able to guess what results you’ll be getting based on your responses.

1. Who created the FruitCard Odyssey quiz?

FruitCard Odyssey personality test is designed by Tina Yip, also known as @_noktea on Instagram, a graphic designer based in Toronto, Canada. Based on her Codedex profile, she is also currently studying UX/UI.

2. Is FruitCard Odyssey correlated to MBTI?

According to the front page of the personality test, FruitCard Odyssy was inspired by the MBTI quiz, alongside the viral “Cosmos Persona” and “what cake R U?” quizzes on Github. It’s of course, a shorter version, considering it only has 12 questions. The amount of information on each card is also less compared to its inspirations.

However, the questions aim to reflect the four dimensions of personality types.

Based on my colleagues and friends who have taken the test, the test is fairly accurate and reflects their MBTI.
