As new dog-owners, we know how heart-wrenching it is to leave your dog behind when you go out for a meal. We usually try to seek out dog-friendly restaurants and cafes and we were actually quite surprised to see that there are actually a number of such establishments in Singapore. However, most of them are purely outdoor dining, which usually is not a problem aside from the blazing hot weather.

Thus, we have filtered out the best indoor dog-friendly cafes in Singapore so that you and your dog are satisfied.

1. Menage Cafe

If you’re looking for pet-friendly cafes that can satisfy both you and your dog’s belly, Menage Cafe is the one we recommend. The food here is amazing for its price. In fact, we would return even without our dog.

The Asian-fusion dishes such as the Prawn Laksa Pasta ($17.9) and Tom Yam Pasta ($17.9) are highly recommended. But, even their western fares such as the Duck Confit ($19.9) are worth a mention.

There is also a menu for your pups that comprises brown rice, steamed tuna, broccoli and more, starting from $9.

Location: 6 Sin Ming Rd, #01-01/02, Singapore 575585

2. The Urban Hideout

The Urban Hideout serves a mean waffle. It’s fluffy with a light crisp on the outside.

On top of their affordable prices with no GST and service charge, they serve up a decent range of all-day breakfast dishes and mains. Their signature Gelato Waffles ($9.9) cannot be missed!

Your pup can also enjoy a spread with some of their luxurious choices like Surf & Turf ($12.9) and Beef Cubes ($12.9).

If there was a Star Awards for cafes in Singapore, Nico Cafe would probably have the most nominations. Not only is it one of the prettiest floral-themed cafes in Singapore, but it is also coated in pink, making it an extremely insta-worth cafe. But more importantly, it is a dog-friendly cafe.

You are also getting a good deal for their food, especially when you factor in the ambience. Their mains include Smoked Duck Ciabatta ($18.9) and Cheese Filling Tortellini ($14.9). Do not forget to order their Souffle Pancakes ($19.9) for the perfect cover photo for the gram.

Breakfast starts from $6 and pasta from $9, and you can even go for light bites such as Scrambled Eggs on Toast that only costs $3. There is more of a homely vibe to the flavours and ambience here, which might be what some owners are going for.

Affordable dog treats are available from $4.

Nude Seafood is not just a pet-friendly cafe, it holds the title for Best Restaurants from 2017 to 2021 and the Best Seafood Restaurant for 2017 and 2018. Quality seafood starts from the source so you don’t have to worry about Nude Seafood’s dishes as they get their ingredients fresh from Hai Sia Seafood, their family business. The menu has a wide range of seafood to choose from, such as Red Snapper ($28.5) and Miso Halibut & Udon ($27.9).

Your dog can also indulge in ‘Taki’, which is essentially food for your pets which includes premium Salmon and Wagyu. Our dog has attachment issues so whenever we have to leave the house without him, we would appease him with some taki.
