The new exhibition at Science Centre is built across ten zones, weaving together immersive tech and marine research. Five highlights stand out.

Tara Polar Station replica: A scale recreation of the drifting Arctic observatory used for ten consecutive expeditions. You’ll see the distinctive geode structure and the moonpool gateway to the Arctic Ocean, alongside previously unseen images of life on board — a rare look at how scientists work in one of the world’s most extreme environments.

7 Wonders of the Ocean (360° projection): The centrepiece. A large-scale immersive room that takes you from the mysterious abyss to whale migrations, the Great Barrier Reef, nudibranchs, ice floes, bioluminescent marine life and the raw power of the ocean — surrounded by floor-to-ceiling visuals.

Symphonies of the Ocean: A spatial soundscape mixing real recordings from above and below the waves — the closest you’ll get to hearing how marine environments actually communicate and respond to change.

Legends of the Ocean: A storytelling zone exploring how the sea has shaped human imagination across cultures — from mythical creatures to the icons that still influence how we understand the deep.

Tides of the Red Dot: A Singapore-specific section on local marine life, environmental challenges, and conservation efforts — connecting the global story to the waters around us.

Secrets of the Blue (VR add-on, +$10): A free-roaming VR experience that drops you into kelp forests, seagrass meadows, mangroves and tidal marshes to see how blue-carbon ecosystems capture and store carbon. Worth the upgrade if you’re already there.

Why it’s worth going?

One Ocean: Every Action Ripples is the world premiere — Singapore is the first stop, before any other city.

In addition, the 360° projection room alone is worth the ticket: you’re surrounded by floor-to-ceiling visuals of bioluminescent marine life and ballet-style whale migrations, with spatial sound to match.
