The name says it all. But what differentiates Fruits Delivery Singapore from supermarkets- where most of us (including me) get our fruits from- or even other fruit delivery companies?

For starters, the wide range of options they have. Other than the usual NTUC USA Sunkist Oranges and China Fuji Apples, they have exquisite fruits such as Jujube Dates, Ecuador Yellow Passion Fruit, Custard Apples etc.

The Freshest Fruits

Variety is one aspect. But that means nothing if the fruits aren’t fresh. Promising only 1st harvest quality fruits, Fruits Delivery guarantees the freshest fruits from the harvesting to delivery process.

Firstly, they ensure that only the best fruits are chosen from the harvest. I noticed how their menu changes daily, reflecting this ‘First Harvest’ promise of theirs. They also contacted me to inform me that I had to change one of my orders due to quality issues.

Next, to maintain the fruits’ freshness, they store them in large refrigerators at temperatures between 3-7 degrees. Being the only retailer with cold room facilities, they have 8 storage units islandwide, allowing them to deliver your food orders within 2 hours regardless of your location.

Grade A Sustainable Farming

Lastly, environmentalists will also be delighted to hear that they utilise grade a sustainable farming. This is ensured through working with farmers who use renewable energy and engage in proper soil irrigation.

Our Review

These are the fruits that we got:

I was most excited to try the Brunei Premium Musk Melon because it was the most expensive thing in my order and I’ve always wanted to see if premium fruits really do taste a lot better than moderate quality ones.

The answer is: yes. The flesh was evidently softer. It was also juicier and sweeter.

The Taiwan Honey Mango had also appealed to me, who desperately wanted to see if there really were traces of honey in the tropical fruit; or at the very least sweet enough to be worthy of that name.

It had an apple-texture crunch to it and it wasn’t the juicy, soft kind of mango I was expecting. That being said, it wasn’t a bad experience. Just not my preference.

The passion fruits that we commonly see are usually very sour. But not these yellow looking ones. Having a sweet flavor instead, the Ecuador Yellow Passion Fruits were polar opposites of the purple ones.

Supermarket pomelos are really a hit or miss. The bad ones are dry, gritty, sometimes even bitter. The MYS Tambun Pomelo had none of these bad qualities. Although it wasn’t very sweet, it was very refreshing to eat.
