Want to have a nice steamboat meal at home without having to go through the troubles of customizing ingredients and cleaning up? Check out Steamboat Delivery, a hotpot delivery service that offers a hassle-free hotpot experience.

100% Hassle-free

Steamboat delivery offers Pots with Stoves (S$14.9) as well, allowing you to really have zero items to wash. Granted, the pots aren’t the best materials with thin metal walls. I also had doubts about how well it’ll work because it runs on solid fuel, mainly on how well it’ll boil the soup. But, it worked! It’s obviously not as effective as having an induction cooker or a portable gas stove but if you don’t have either of those, you can still enjoy a nice steamboat meal at home.

However, if you want something more efficient and don’t mind paying more, and also washing the pot after the meal, they also offer the add-on of a Gas Cooker + Gas Fuel (S$29.9).

Superior Broths

Ingredients are obviously important for steamboats. But broths are equally vital too. Never settle for simple store-bought stocks.

Steamboat delivery simmers their broths for a minimum of 8 hours daily, ensuring the highest quality stocks delivered to your homes. We got the Pork Tonkotsu Soup and Tomato Soup

The Tonkotsu was what the description promised- creamy, flavorful and rich. And it didn’t taste like there was any msg added. On the other hand, the Tomato was sour and tangy, which wasn’t really what I expected. I thought it would have a deeper flavor from the long simmering time.

Value-Bundles with Quality Ingredients

We got the Bundle B which is enough for 3-4pax for S$64. The portion is just enough for 4 people; maybe 3 if you’re big eaters. It includes the following: 2 Soup Bases, 200g of Pork Collar, Pork Belly, Chicken Shabu, Chicken Sausage, Japanese Steamed Rice, Korean Noodles, Assorted Vegetables, 1.5l Bottled Sweet Drinks, Watermelon and Dipping Sauce.

We upgraded for the Hokkaido Pork which was cut super thin, with a great amount of fats. It really melted in your mouth and had a nice meaty flavor, although the regular pork belly wasn’t too bad too. Meanwhile, the Pork Collar was slightly tough.

The Fish was also surprisingly good. It’s a better quality than your average fish fillets.

Lastly, the vegetables were really fresh and you can tell from the way they look in the photo.

S$16 per person is a very reasonable price considering how much time this saves you. Of course, the quality of the food is better than average too. I was surprised by how great the Tonkotsu Broth was, to be honest.
