Feel like doing something else other than visiting this Chinese New Year (CNY)? How about breaking the norms with retro carnival rides and games, or learn how to snowboard and ski instead?

Located at Bayfront Event Space, The Show Master returns with the Bay Spring Carnival, which opens its doors till 29 January.

New things to expect

Just like the The Great Bay Carnival during Christmas last year, the Bay Spring Carnival features exhilarating rides and challenging carnival games from Uncle Ringo.

For CNY, Uncle Ringo brought in more rides, such as the Meteorite and Red Swing for an adrenaline boost.

The carnival games are also refreshed. Crowd favourites like the Mystery Bag, which guarantees players a prize — albeit a mysterious one — regardless of which bag they pick from the shelves, are unfortunately taken off the roster this round. However, new games such as Spill The Milk and Basketball are introduced.

What to eat?

While the The Great Food Fiesta from Christmas was reduced to a few stalls, the organisers compensated with a White Rabbit sweet ice cream pop-up.

Located at the entrance of the Bay Spring Carnival — closer to The Shoppes at Marina Bay Sands — the pop-up serves refreshing White Rabbit ice cream. Diners can sample it with a slew of exciting CNY-inspired toppings like bak kwa, salted egg fish skin, as well as traditional favourites like cookies, chocolates, and nuts!

Futhermore, the pop-up, organised by Hao Food SG, the official distributors of White Rabbit in Singapore, sells authentic White Rabbit tote bags, exclusive branded red packets, and mugs.

Ice Magic returns with special collaborations

By popular demand, Ice Magic, the indoors winter wonderland, returns with a unique collaboration. Not only can visitors frolic in the snow and skate on ice rings, they can now get the full winter experience by indulging in a comforting hotpot meal.

Haidilao Hotpot sets up shop at Ice Magic: The Great Fantasy on Ice from $122 per pax.

Meanwhile, in collaboration with Ski Singapore, Ice Magic is also hosting basic skiing and snowboarding lessons. More information can be found here.
