Cherrydiscotheque is selling $5 cai fan at Telok Ayer?

I would not have believed it until I saw it for myself…

Cherrydiscotheque, a nightclub at Telok Ayer famed for its themed nights, just started selling cai fan in the day.

In addition to their striking cherry logo at the entrance, you’ll also find a large signboard of their new concept — Cherry Kopitiam, bearing the same iconic cherry as well as a large plate of rice.

They proclaim themselves to be the best cai fan in the the Central Business District (CBD). While that might be a tough title to contend for, they are definitely one of the cheapest. A plate of cai fan with two vegetables and one meat only costs $4.5, while most cai fan stores in the area could cost $7.

In terms of the quality, personally, I found the food tasting above average for its price. The curry chicken was tender and had a nice kick, while the fried egg was fragrant.

Head deeper into the club, where their secret bakery is hidden. The bakes come from Baker’s Well, with crowd favourites like the Banana Walnut Muffin and Banana Cake.
