What’s the fastest way to rid your skin of acne, blackheads and whiteheads?

Ombré, a newly established homegrown facial spa, offers five types of express facial treatments that can be done under 30 minutes.

Is 30 minutes really enough? It’s more than enough to cover the basics, which are cleansing, exfoliating, and extraction. Specialists recommend getting a facial every month to remove dead skin off your face, and increase blood circulation, ensuring that your skin remains healthy and dewy all the time. An express facial is definitely not as elaborate as a two-hour package, but it is more than enough if your schedule is always packed.

Not just express, this is a high-tech facial

Their treatments start from $28. The Hydraclean is their introductory facial spa that provides deep cleansing services and skin exfoliation. It’s perfect for first-timers, or customers who do not have any major skin issues but is in need of a quick-fix cleansing.

If you have more time to spare, the Hydrafusion ($58), which is the treatment I experienced, comes with the addition of an ampoule treatment, thermotherapy and cryotherapy.

Cyrotherapy to tighten your pores

The first thing I noticed about Ombré was its high-tech equipment.

The treatment begins with cleansing — as usual. But what sets Ombré apart from most facial spas in Singapore is its use of high-tech equipment to effectively cleanse your face. The beautician uses a Hydraclean machine, which cleanses and exfoliates the skin with a gentle peel solution. Instead of lathering soap on your face, which can get a bit uncomfortable at times, the Hydraclean is a small pen-like tool that opens your pores momentarily while pulsing the solution-infused water onto your skin. This ensures that

For the extraction process, Ombré uses an ultrasonic scrubber device that emits gentle ultrasonic vibrations to loosen the impurities. This was almost painless, except for the few stubborn blackheads that clung tightly onto my pores. I almost fell asleep during this process.

Next, the beautician will recommend one of their five ampoules to infuse in your skin:

  • Hyaluronic ampoule — dehydrated skin
  • Mandelic acid ampoule — acne or ageing skin
  • Copper peptide ampoule — ageing or wrinkled skin
  • Ceramide ampoule — sensitive and dehydrated skin
  • Arbutin ampoule — dull and pigmented skin.

Lastly, they beautician will promote blood circulation and tighten your pores with thermotherapy and cryotherapy respectively.

EndyMed Eye Lift

Targetted at the older crowd, the EndyMed treatments allow you to get a more sculpted jaw and sharper eyes, with their EndyMed Face V-Lift ($98) and EndyMed Eye Lift ($98) treatments.

Not that I needed it, but I wanted to give it a try anyway. The 3DEEP’s unparalleled volumetric heating provides maximum treatment efficacy. It was also a warm and relaxing massage for the eye region. This 30-minute treatment aims to reduce under-eye bags, smooth and tighten the skin, and lift the upper eyelid for a more open eye.

Ongoing promotion

From now till 28 February, customers who purchase treatments worth $58 will be entitled to one complimentary session of their newest muscle sculpting treatment.

The Ombré-Sculpt, an advanced body contouring, aims to build muscle and sculpt one’s body around the abdomen, buttocks, arms, calves or thighs with a non-invasive technology known as High-Intensity Pulsed ElectroMagnetic (HIPEM) energy.
