This might be the most Instagrammable cafe in Shenzhen, and here’s why.
Located in the industrial area of Longgang neighbourhood, Puzzle Cafe (Puzzle has a similar pronunciation with 拍手) has a Moroccan-inspired alfresco dining area, complete with a pool.
One step out of the cafe, and it really felt like we were teleported from China to Morocco, with the red-hued stone walls and motifs carved into them.

First impression
We were a little confused when the taxi dropped us off in the middle of nowhere, but that’s usually where the hidden gems are located right?

Simply look for Block F and take the cargo lift up to the ninth floor.
Minimum charge

To prevent customers from flooding the area for photos without ordering any drinks, Puzzle Cafe imposes a minimum spending of ¥39, which is essentially the price of their cheapest drink on the menu.
Alternatively, you can pay ¥39 as the admission fee.
Personally I think it’s quite a fair charge.
The drinks were great
Either way, the drinks here were great. ¥39 ($8) per drink is slightly pricey in Shenzhen, but hey, you’re mainly here for the aesthetics anyway.
While the cafe is situated in China, and the theme is very much Moroccan, the food and drinks menu are actually Thai!

We got the Signature Milk Tea (¥39), which is a mix of Thai and Hong Kong milk tea. The owner’s friend explained that she felt that this was the perfect balance of intensity, without being too bitter, and she was right.

Their other drinks, such as the Pandan Grass Jelly (¥39), and Peach Oolong (¥39) were also great.
