Junior Suite staycation at Sofitel Sentosa

A Sentosa staycation is an unbeatable holiday idea, providing refuge far away from the hustle and bustle of the city, while keeping you entertained with its plethora of beaches and attractions.

To take it a step further — a Parisian experience — we booked our stay at Sofitel Sentosa Resort & Spa.

Sofitel Sentosa offers a range of room categories: Luxury Room, Luxury Garden Room, Junior Suite, Prestige Suite, Imperial Suite and Villa Du Jardin. Each type of room has its distinct personality, but all embodies a unique Parisian beauty.

For pet owners who do not want your furkid to be missing out, Sofitel Sentosa’s Luxury Garden Rooms are pet-friendly and include pet amenities.

Our experience in Sofitel Sentosa’s Junior Suite

Aside from Parisian tones, the suite had a touch of nature embedded in it with its wooden flooring, floral orchid carpeting design, and golden leaf motifs. The warm hues and lights also made the suite welcoming and comfortable to stay at.

As if a 55 m² room isn’t spacious enough, the wall mirrors, and a floating wall give the illusion of a larger room. The floating wall also separates the living room from the bedroom area.

The television has several channels to keep you entertained, such as HBO, National Geographic, Warner TV and more.

Maximise your hotel stay by saving an hour or two (or three) for the most luxurious bath you’ll ever take. Sofitel’s lavish bathroom has a bathtub and a rain shower installed. Every room comes with bath salts and a loohfah sponge. But, pro tip: bring your own bath bombs. We prepared Pokemon bath bombs from Don Don Donki.

Hotel facilities

After exploring the island, it was comforting to soak in the 33-metre long black pearlescent tiled pool. You can also spot several peacocks around the hotel vicinity.

One of our favourite spots of the resort was the ‘Fish Spa’ area, where you can sit down and chill while having the Garra rufa fishes nibble on your feet for exfoliation. Head over to the gym if you wish to work some sweat off, it is absolutely a tranquil sight to be jogging or working out in front of the resort’s lush greenery.

If you would like to go on a relaxing stroll or bring your furkids to the beach, there is a path behind the restaurant near the pool which links to the Tanjong beach.

The overall vibes of Sofitel Sentosa Resort & Spa is perfect for a short vacation for those who do not have the luxury of time to travel overseas.

Traveling to Sofitel Sentosa

One of the routes recommended on Google is to take the Sentosa monorail to the Beach Station, followed by taking Bus B to alight at the Golf Club stop. However, this takes about 40 minutes in total.

Alternatively, take the Sofitel Shuttle Bus which has a 30 minutes interval. The bus alights at Sofitel Spa followed by Harbourfront Station Exit D. The journey takes only about ten minutes and is complimentary for hotel guests.
