While Physical: 100 might have concluded months ago, a strong connection still exists between one of its contestants and Singaporeans. Get ready, as the much-loved Mr. Choo Sung-hoon, famously known as ‘Sexyama,’ will be gracing our city in a highly-anticipated event set to take place in June 2023. Kicking off the festival, Sexyama will be gracing this year’s Zentosa LiveWELL Festival with a meet-and-greet session on 10 June. But that’s far from what the festival’s about.

The second edition of the Zentosa LiveWELL Festival offers over 250 wellness activities, serving to empower guests to care for their mental health.

The festivities begins on 10 June with the Discovery Walk. This unique walk not only allows guests to delve into Sentosa’s captivating coastal and natural history but also provides plenty of insightful pitstops along the way. Sexyama will be kicking off this event. As a special privilege, Sentosa Islander members will have the exclusive opportunity to register for one of the limited 100 slots for an intimate meet-and-greet session with the martial arts icon. While extremely exciting, that’s not all this festival has to offer — it’s only just the beginning!

Sentosa Island will be transformed into a wellness haven as the Zentosa LiveWELL Festival takes centre stage. The Festival Village is housed on the waterfront at Southside with over 250 activities, categorised under five pillars of wellness for guests to curate their personal wellness journey. Aside from the ongoing activities and workouts, festival-goers can look forward to health-related talks, healthy food and beverage (F&B) options, and a range of free music programmes including Jazz by the Beach. Sentosa Development Corporation (SDC) has also partnered The Body Shop Singapore to conduct yoga sessions at the Festival Village featuring instructor Brandon Chong.

The Zentosa LiveWELL Festival extends beyond the festival grounds, enveloping the entire Sentosa Island experience. Various businesses, event partners, and collaborators offer health and wellness offerings throughout the festival period. Indulge in wellness staycation programs, savour healthier menu choices at eateries, enjoy family bonding packages at attractions, or immerse yourself in yoga sessions within the enchanting “Van Gogh: The Immersive Experience” at Resorts World Sentosa.

FeelWELL and BondWELL

One of the festival’s highlights is the FeelWELL zone, designed to nurture mental and emotional well-being. At Fort Siloso, visitors will encounter a mesmerising art installation — “The Way to Wellness” by Kult Studio & Gallery. As festival-goers journey through three tunnels, they will be guided towards inner peace through visual, auditory, and tactile cues.

Additionally, Charlene Shepherdson, a talented local artist, will captivate visitors with her literary works and poems, adding an extra layer of depth to the experience. Aside from the art installation, guests can also experience the healing power of plants through hands-on therapeutic horticulture workshops, among other activities that nurture guests’ emotional and mental wellness.

At BondWELL, guests have the perfect opportunity to strengthen their relationships with loved ones and enhance their overall well-being. Immerse yourself in a warm, inviting environment that encourages connection and rediscovery and take a leisurely stroll through the lush and vibrant Imbiah Trail. In addition, BondWELL offers a chance to break free from the digital world and reconnect with family and friends on a more personal level. Engage in nostalgic and traditional games like five-stones and pick-up sticks at the Imbiah Forecourt, conveniently located just outside Madame Tussauds Singapore.

PlayWELL, EatWELL, and RestWELL

The festival also brings back its key pillars of physical wellness (PlayWELL), healthy eating (EatWELL), and mindful resting (RestWELL). PlayWELL offers thoughtfully curated experiences that seamlessly blend fitness and mindfulness. Join True Fitness Hour workouts led by renowned instructors, including the charismatic Sexyama himself, as well as yoga instructor Yenny Christine and celebrity coach Jacob Manning. The available classes are yoga, callisthenics, boxing, martial arts, KPopX Fitness, and Zumba.

Alternatively, try the WeBarre Stretch & Technique class, a fusion of floor Barre movements that will help you achieve deep, active stretches and enhance your flexibility.

Families are not forgotten at the Zentosa LiveWELL Festival. On 2 July, walk alongside local artists and celebrities at the ‘Pa Pa Zou’ fun walk, promoting an active lifestyle for all.
