Laid-back and unapologetically heartland, Bedok isn’t exactly the first place that comes to mind for a day out — but that’s kind of the charm.
Between old-school eateries, neighbourhood gems, and a slower pace of life, there are still a few spots worth checking out if you know where to look.
Not gonna lie though — there’s only so much to do in Bedok, so you might want to venture slightly out to nearby areas like East Coast or Tampines to round out your day.
1. Forest Adventure

Singapore’s biggest treetop adventure park — 69 obstacles, four zip lines, and a canopy that seriously gets the heart going.
Forest Adventure sits inside Bedok Reservoir Park, running a full series of aerial courses through the treetops at multiple height and difficulty levels. The adult courses push up to some serious heights, but the easy junior and family courses are available too, making it a solid family-friendly outing as well!
Tickets from $48 for adults, $38 for children.
Location: Bedok Reservoir Park
Opening hours:
Monday: 9:30am-12pm
Tue-Fri: 9:30am-4pm
Sat-Sun: 9:30am-5pm
2. Telok Kurau Studios

Singapore’s first designated arts housing project — a working cluster of artists living and creating inside a converted HDB block.
Around 27 artists call Telok Kurau Studios home, using their units as live-work spaces for painting, ceramics, printmaking, and more. The complex also houses the Singapore Colour Photography Society and the Singapore Watercolour Society. Open studio sessions run mainly during Singapore Art Week and select events through the year — timing your visit right means walking straight into the studios of people who’ve quietly been here for decades.
Location: 91 Lorong J Telok Kurau
Opening hours: Open during Singapore Art Week and select events — check online for schedule
3. Daily Mujo

A no-frills neighbourhood cafe under a Bedok HDB block, with mains that punch above the price tag every time.
Coffee is priced at $5 for a latte, and the coffee beans are from PPP Coffee, so you already know it’s going to be at least decent.
Meanwhile, the mains, comprising a mix of Asian and western dishes, averages at $11 per plate. Opt for their Daily Mujo Speciality like the Laksa Hokkien Mee ($12), or opt for the classics like Black Pepper Chicken Chop ($14).
Location: 84 Bedok North Street 4, # 01-27, Singapore 460084
Opening hours:
Monday: Closed
Tue-Sun: 9:30am-4pm

4. Heartbeat@Bedok

One of Singapore’s most fully stocked community hubs — and the east side’s best-kept everyday secret.
Heartbeat@Bedok packs an eight-lane Olympic-length swimming pool, rooftop jogging track, gym, library, and multiple community spaces under a single roof. Run by ActiveSG, the pool starts from $1.50; go on a weekday morning and the lanes are practically yours!
Location: 11 Bedok North Street 1, Singapore 469662
Opening hours: 6:30am-10pm
5. Singapore Wake Park

Singapore’s only cable-ski park, right on East Coast — and you don’t need to know how to wakeboard to make the most of it.
Singapore Wake Park runs a full cable system along a dedicated 550m course at East Coast Parkway, with beginner sessions, gear rental, and instructors on hand. The beginner cable is forgiving enough to actually land a run on your first visit. Return visitors step up to the main cable for a proper session with more speed and longer stretches.
Prices start from $40 weekday, and $60 weekends & PH.
Location: 1206A East Coast Parkway
Opening hours:
Mon–Fri: 10am–10pm
Sat–Sun: 9am–10pm
6. Xtreme SkatePark

Singapore’s largest skatepark — and one of only two in Asia built to international competition standard.
At 1.4 hectares, Xtreme SkatePark at East Coast Park has the full setup: a 3.6m deep vertical bowl (the deepest in Singapore), the country’s tallest roll-in ramp at 12 feet, and a combo bowl with over-vert for experienced riders.
Free entry, open every day.
Location: East Coast Park, near Carpark F1
Opening hours: 7:30am–10pm
7. Coastal PlayGrove (Temporarily Closed)

East Coast Park’s nature-themed mega playground — designed for kids, but adults will absolutely find a reason to stay.
Coastal PlayGrove is one of the largest nature-themed playgrounds in Singapore, with flying foxes, water play areas, a climbing forest, and a multi-level treehouse structure that genuinely gets tall. It sits inside East Coast Park near Area G — pair it with a cycle, a picnic, or a wander to Bedok Jetty for a full afternoon. Free entry and noticeably quieter on weekday mornings.
Price: Free
Location: East Coast Park, Area G
8. East Coast Park

Fifteen kilometres of coastline — cycling, camping, jetty sunsets, and the kind of slow afternoon that resets the whole week.
East Coast Park is the east’s outdoor anchor: a long coastal stretch with cycling paths, BBQ pits, open lawns, and shoreline that rewards a proper afternoon rather than a quick visit. Rent a bike from one of the shops near the main carparks and ride all the way to Bedok Jetty to watch the container ships pass at dusk. NParks camping bookings are available if you want to extend the stay into the evening.
Price: Free (bicycle rental from ~$8/hr)
Location: East Coast Parkway
Opening hours: Open 24 hours
9. Bedok Reservoir Park

The east’s most underrated outdoor loop — a calm lakeside circuit that joggers, kayakers, and early risers have quietly claimed.
Bedok Reservoir Park wraps a 10km trail around the reservoir, with sheltered rest points and open water views that hold up at any time of day. Dragon boating and kayaking sessions run from the waterfront, and the morning light across the water makes this one of the better sunrise spots on the east side. Forest Adventure is tucked inside the park if the group needs something more active after the walk.
Location: Bedok Reservoir Road
10. SAFRA Tampines

A fully loaded leisure club open to non-members — and one of the most affordable ways to spend a full day in the east.
SAFRA Tampines packs more into one address than most people realise: non-members can walk in and bowl a few frames at SuperBowl, swim laps in the main pool, book a squash or snooker session, or fire up a BBQ pit for a group afternoon.
Location: 1A Tampines Street 92, Singapore 528882
Opening hours: 9am–9pm
11. Parvifolia
A botanical gelato spot tucked inside a Bedok North HDB block, Parvifolia sources single-origin botanical ingredients — hibiscus, butterfly pea, fresh pandan — and builds gelato that tastes like it was grown rather than made.
On weekends the counter stays open till 1am, making it the best reason to end a night in the east on a quiet, considered high.
Single scoop from $5.2.
Location: 510 Bedok North Street 3, #01-75, Singapore 460510
Opening hours:
Mon-Tue: 12pm-12am
Wednesday: Closed
Thursday: 12pm-12am
Fri-Sat: 12pm-1am
Sunday: 12pm-12am
