Best cafes in Bedok

1. Percolate

One of the best spots in Bedok for coffee

A quaint cafe in Bedok, Percolate is serious about delivering the best cup of coffee to their customers.

Curating coffee beans from all over the world, Percolate rotates their house-choice based on the season. The Hot Latte ($5.5) that we got recently featured Peru’s nutty undertones. Meanwhile, coffee extracted from the single origin from Rwanda underscores fruitier notes.

Interesting drinks such as ginger and coconut lattes are also found on this cafe’s menu.

To get a bite to go with your drink, we recommend their croissants. One of the best in Singapore, the Smoked Salmon Croissant ($7.2) is elevated with a layer of wasabi mayo. The PB&J Croissant ($8) is also a popular choice.

2. Refuel

Refuel Cafe’s signature pork ribs, one of the best at its price point

Located along Bedok Reservoir, Refuel Cafe is an all-day brunch cafe in Bedok that serves comforting and affordable dishes under $16.

Refuel yourself with classic brunch dishes like waffles and pasta; nothing too quirky. But it’s the affordability and consistency of the dishes that earned Refuel their reputation in the area.

If there’s one item on Refuel’s menu that deserves a standing ovation, it’s their barbecued pork ribs. It comes in two variations: Baked Honey Ribs ($14) and Spicy Ribs ($14). Both are lightly seasoned with the right texture. Fall off the bones, but retaining a firm texture for a more palatable mouthfeel.

Refuel is also located at Queenstown and Yishun.

3. Mosanco Enchanted Cafe Bedok

One of the most famous cafes at Bedok for cold brew

With its oak furniture and numerous paintings of enchanting landscapes, Enchanted Cafe Bedok looks straight out of a fairytale.

Located at Bedok North, this whimsical cafe is part of the Mosanco cafe cluster. Enchanted Cafe Bedok is also known as The Secret Garden, and they are most famous for their cold brew coffees. Specifically, their White Cold Brew ($6.9) was creamy, full-bodied and lightly sweetened. All without the astringency that comes with coffee that is brewed otherwise.

While they might be relatively more expensive, their brunch items tasted pretty great. We highly recommend the Almond Butter on Toast ($10.9), which uses a nutty and textured almond butter. Strangely, it also reminded us of tang yuan stuffing, even though peanuts are commonly used for that.

Meanwhile, the Croissants with Stuffing ($9.9), with a choice of filling, had a nice flaky texture.

Aside from this cafe in Bedok, Mosanco also has other branches in Serangoon, Farrer Park and Bukit Timah.

Brunch and coffee is great, but this cafe has to be one of the more unique ones at Bedok as they serve Peranakan-inspired cafe food.

From a Kueh Lapis store to a full-fledged cafe in Bedok, Marie Lapis’s menu now includes Western mains infused with Peranakan elements and interesting adaptations to traditional Kueh’s.

Take the Lapis in Wonderland ($10.9) for example. Lapis served in a glossy red wine sauce, with poached grapes and vanilla ice-cream. Meanwhile, the Coffee Lapis-Misu ($7) features an amalgamation of Indonesian and Italian cuisines — a harmonious blend of imported Italian Cheese, Rum, wine-soaked sponge and coffee lapis.
