A short four-minute walk away from Tampines West MRT, Three’s A Crowd is a halal-certified cafe renowned for its freshly-churned gelato and exotic waffle flavours.

What sets this cafe apart from the rest is its unique waffle flavour offering. We all know of the traditional crispy churro sticks, but have you ever tried a Churros Waffle ($8)? Or how about a Pandan Waffle ($9)? They even have special seasonal flavours, such as the Ondeh Waffle, so you’re always in for a delicious surprise. 

Pair your waffle with a wide selection of gelato flavours. If you’re someone who always goes for the bestsellers, then give their store-signature Leegacy (dark chocolate) a shot. A new cafe emerges in Tampines, and this time, it’s in the form of an Instagrammable glasshouse.

If the exterior of Glasshouse Creamery looks familiar, it’s because it was where Around Cafe was located before it was permanently closed at the start of 2024.

Ice cream is priced at $4.9 a scoop and $8.9 for a double. You can pair it with either a Cone ($1) or Mochi Waffle ($7.9).

Aside from ice cream, Glasshouse Creamery’s menu also comprises finger food like Chicken Karaage, Yakitori Sticks, Popcorn Chicken and Spicy Drumlets. All are priced at $9.9.

What started out as a home-based business during the covid pandemic has quickly expanded into a full-fledged business with three outlets across Singapore. In addition to its Lot One and Junction 8 branches, Wunderfolks has recently opened its newest bakery at Tampines Mall.

It’s located on the first floor of the mall, closer to Century Square, and it’s only accessible from the outside.

Indulge in sweet tarts like Lemon Meringue ($8), Matcha ($8), and Lychee ($8). Wunderfolks’ Tampines cafe menu has also extended its offerings to croissants, cookies and tiramisu.

9. Kraft x Mexicana

This place used to be known as a a hidden cafe. But with all its popularity, I’m not sure you can call it hidden anymore.

Located beneath a HDB block, Kraft x Mexicana, formerly known as Kraft Kitchen, is a halal cafe in Tampines that cooks up Western and Mexican dishes at affordable prices.

Their Signature Gratin Mac and Cheese is a must-try. Creamy and savoury with a satisfying cheese pull, this is definitely one of their most popular dishes. Pair it with a side of your choice, ranging from Sauteed Mushrooms ($15.6) to Striploin Beef Steak ($20.8). If you prefer having rice instead, their Signature Gratin Cheese Baked Rice is also a great choice. 

Their extensive menu also includes Mexican dishes such as Grilled Chicken Fajitas ($16.9) and Golden Crispy Shrimp Tacos ($14.3). If you’re going with friends and family, they also offer Tapas Sharing Platters ($138) with a wide range of items.

Fieldnotes is a popular cake shop for its nature-inspired cakes, and they’re finally opening their second outlet in the east — Tampines 1.

Just like their first dine-in cafe along Neil Road, this new Tampines branch boasts a minimalistic facade.

Instead of whole cakes, you can also get them in slices, or try their other offerings such as loaves and tarts.

Fruit Paradise, a fruit tart and cakes speciality cafe, has been around for at least a decade, and they’re opening a brand new concept.

Located at Tampines 1, Roman-Kan by Fruit Paradise will also offer a selection of hotplates on top of their desserts.
