Say goodbye to heat damage

Traditional hair straighteners have always come with some pretty known drawbacks. From the risk of excessive heat exposure to the neglect of hair health and the arduous styling processes, users have been yearning for a better solution. Enter the Dyson Airstrait™ Straightener, a trailblazing response designed to address these challenges head-on.

The Dyson Airstrait Straightener introduces a completely new approach to straightening hair, challenging the status quo of using hot plates. By leveraging precise directional airflow, this futuristic device enables users to straighten their hair from wet to dry without the risk of heat damage.

How does it work?

At the heart of the Dyson Airstrait Straightener lies its exceptional technology. The machine features precision air jets strategically positioned along its arms, accelerating airflow to create two high-velocity downward blades of air. These blades converge at a 45° angle to form a focused jet of air, providing the necessary force to straighten hair as it dries. Powered by the Dyson Hyperdymium™ motor, this device generates a remarkable airflow volume, ensuring efficient and effective results. The motor’s 13-blade impeller spins at an impressive 106,000rpm, propelling over 11.9 litres of air per second. With up to 3.5kPa of air pressure, the Dyson Airstrait Straightener effectively straightens hair as it dries.

Intelligent heat control is another key feature of the Dyson Airstrait Straightener. Glass bead thermistors monitor the temperature of the airflow 16 times per second, preventing extreme heat damage and preserving the hair’s natural shine. This data is sent to the microprocessor, which regulates the heating element to ensure the airflow never exceeds the required temperature.

Not that the specs really matter. The important thing is — the Dyson Airstrait Straightener is engineered to simplify hair care routines without compromising the health of your hair. With two styling modes, you can straighten your hair when it’s wet or dry. There are also multiple heat and airflow settings, which allows you to further customise your straightening experience, accommodating to the different hair types. Additional features such as cool mode, airflow control, and root drying capability enhance the versatility and convenience of the device.
