This year’s line-up features The Unruly Immortals, award-winning Chinese web novels in 2024, Death Whisperer, a chilling adaptation of Thailand’s recent highest-grossing horror film, alongside fan-favourite collaborations like Netflix’s Stranger Things.

What is the plot of “The Unruly Immortals”?
Marking Universal Studios Singapore’s first collaboration with a Chinese novel IP with over 11.3 million readers.
Written by Chinese novelist Hu Wei, The Unruly Immortals — also known as Daogui Yixian in Chinese — transports guests into a twisted Chinese dark fantasy dystopian. The story follows Li Huowang, who finds himself torn between two realities: an ancient world ruled by gods and immortals, and a modern-day mental institution. As the lines blur, the question remains — which world is real, and which exists only in his mind?
This haunted house at HHN blurs the line between sanity and hallucination, winding through warped hospital wards, eerie alchemy chambers, and nightmare temples.
With The Unruly Immortals, Hu Wei won the “New Writer of the Year” award at Yuewen Global IP Awards in Singapore last year.
