Lalitta Cafe review – Most popular Chiang Rai cafe worth your time?

Lalitta Cafe entrance

If you’ve been scrolling for the best places to go in Chiang Rai on Instagram or TikTok, you’d have definitely come across this cafe.

Lalitta Cafe, a themed waterfall cafe is one of the hottest spots in Chiang Rai. Nestled near the airport, this lush, forest-like cafe blends nature, art, and coffee culture into a picture-perfect experience.

But is it overhyped, or actually worth your time?

Lalitta Cafe is not your typical cafe.

Waterfall at Lalitta Cafe

If anything, it’s more of an attraction that happens to serve food and drinks.

For starters, we were surprised that they charged an admission fee of ฿60 (SGD $2.5).

But the moment you enter, you’ll get why. Artificial waterfalls, misty walkways, orchids, lush greenery, and whimsical sculptures that make you feel like you’ve stepped into a fairytale forest.

The whole place is apparently inspired by mythological jungle lore.

What’s on the menu?

Second floor dining area Lalitta Cafe

Lalitta Cafe’s menu mixes cafe classics with Thai-inspired refreshments and light meals.

Prices are generally affordable, with most food and drinks ranging from around ฿70 – ฿250.

Iced Coconut Latte at Lalitta Cafe

We only got the drinks, which were a little too sweet for my liking. I ordered the Iced Coconut Latte with less sweet, but it still turned out to be one of the sweetest drinks I’ve had that entire trip.

The silver lining is that you can xoffset ฿40 for your food and drinks purchase with the admission fee.

Not here for the food?

Not as talked about is Lalitta Cafe’s Foot Massage, which costs ฿250 for 60 minutes.
