You’ve likely come across all sorts of yoga styles — Hatha, Vinyasa, Ashtanga, Yin, Hot Yoga and the list goes on. But did you know there’s Puppy Yoga in Singapore?
Held in a studio above TopDogs Academy along Geylang Road, this class organised by Pawsome Events is exactly what it sounds like.
You get 45 minutes of guided yoga surrounded by cute and energetic little pups, followed by 15 minutes of playtime where you can cuddle, pet and take all the puppy selfies you wish.

From the moment I unrolled my mat, a curious pup ran over me. Another decided my hair looked like a great chew toy. Forget the usual deep breathing and calmness during a regular yoga session, this was a workout with constant giggles and surprise interruptions.
Despite the distractions, I still managed to do a decent number of poses. The instructor was easygoing and adjusted to the pace of the room, knowing full well no one was in full zen mode when a puppy decided to flop across your mat mid-pose.

Some puppies would suddenly leap over us or sneak in under your downward dog. Personal space does not exist here, but honestly I didn’t mind one bit. There was something very comforting about being surrounded by happy and playful dogs who had absolutely no concept of boundaries.

If you love dogs or just want to try a different kind of wellness experience, this is a fun one. It’s not your typical soul-searching yoga session but in my opinion, it’s a much better way to de-stress.
