Shaw Plaza Balestier, located at the heart of Balestier, has transformed itself into a family-friendly mall, with brand new restaurants and amenities.
To commemorate their grand opening, Shaw Plaza Balestier will be hosting a series of activities over the weekend, on 1 and 2 April. Families can expect a day packed with fun activities such as caricature sessions and balloon sculpting shows. The first 500 shoppers that spend a minimum of $120 (maximum combination of three receipts) during the Opening Weekend will also be rewarded with Gift-away Vouchers.
Aside from the re-opening activities, here is a list of some activities you can do with your family at the new and improved Shaw Plaza Balestier.
Kid-friendly activities
The new key amenities in Shaw Plaza Balestier includes the Sky Terrace on Level 3. A decently large open space that is decked in fauna, with a few playground equipment installed. During the opening weekend, children can expect to find many mythical fabled beasts — essentially large balloon animals — lurking around the space.
Parents can also sign their children up for educational and enrichment centers, such as Yan Ballet Academy, Taekwondonomics, and Splashes Aquatics.
While the mall is child-friendly, don’t be mistaken. To complete the mall’s one-stop family experience, there are plenty of things for couples to do to.
Date ideas for couples
Sign up for a baking workshop at Two Bake Boys. The bakery, famed for their delectable crepe cakes, have opened their first physical store. They are currently having a free trial promotion for their cake-decorating workshop. However, do note that the workshop only provides a mockup cake for you to decorate. Hence, you will not be bringing the cake home.
Alternatively, take it easy and enjoy a cup of coffee and a slice of their renowned crepe cake.
Shaw Theatre has also doubled in capacity, and the new space features their Lumiere halls, elevating your movie experience with cushy reclinable leather seats and the latest state-of-the-art sound system.
