Picking a spot for date night?
You can’t go wrong with Amò, an authentic Italian restaurant at Clarke Quay that has won numerous awards.
Our honest review of Amo

Good vibes, solid food, and reasonable prices.
We tried two starters, three mains and two desserts, and here’s what we think about the food.
Definitely go for the steak
$42 for a plate of wagyu is a pretty good price, especially when the wagyu actually melts in your mouth.
It’s nothing too crazy. Just a solid steak and truffle mash done right.
Other dishes at Amo

Seafood lovers can also opt for the Grilled Spanish Octopus with Black Olive and Paprika Cream ($38). The portion is decent, and I loved the texture, which was soft, but chewy enough that it retains a bite.
Just like the Wagyu, the seasonings here were simple, letting the quality of the ingredients speak for itself.

The last main we tried, the Strozzapreti with Jumbo Crab, Tomato and Mascarpone ($35), tasted good, but could’ve had a bit more crabs for the price we’re paying.
For starters, the Creamy Pumpkin Soup with True Pesto and Piemonte Hazelnuts ($22) tasted alright. Probably would order something else with the $22.

But, the Yellowfin Tuna Tartare with Avocado and Pickled Cucumber ($24) was light and refreshing, the perfect start to the meal.
Desserts at Amo
We tried two desserts.

The Pannacotta with Blood Orange Caramel ($15) was textbook, with a jiggly and creamy consistency. The touch of blood orange, with a good mix of acidity and sweetness, balanced the syrupy profile of the vanilla in the pannacotta.
Definitely, one of the best desserts we’ve had.

Next, the Amò Tiramisù ($18) had a consistent and fresh of the mascarpone mixture. But overall, it was too chocolatey and overpriced.
