If you’re planning a short escape to Kuala Lumpur filled with good food, beautiful hotels and unique date activities, this 4D3N itinerary covers all the highlights without feeling too rushed. It’s a nice mix of relaxing stays, hands-on workshops, shopping, cafe hopping and indulgent meals
Day 1
1. Check-in: The Chow Kit

Start your KL trip at The Chow Kit, a boutique hotel with warm 1970s-inspired retro design and bold colours.
The Towkay Suite is spacious and charming, with its cosy living area, stylish gold accents and a nostalgic touch that makes it feel like you’re stepping into a modernised version of old KL.
Fun fact: Towkay actually originates from the Hokkien dialect and translates to “boss,” which is exactly the vibe you get when staying in The Towkay Suite.

If you’re visiting during the festive season, make time for their Festive 4-course Meal for RM188 per pax. The menu usually features elevated local flavours with a modern twist, comforting, beautifully plated, and perfect for a relaxing first-night meal if you prefer staying in. We recommend choosing the Grouper Gulai over the Wagyu Roast, and you shouldn’t miss out on the Bubur Cha-Cha Parfait which was absolutely delicious (and not too sweet!)
2. Teddy Bear Workshop at Happy Hour Club

For something fun and slightly unexpected, head to Happy Hour Club for their teddy builder workshop which is a surprisingly adorable and wholesome couple activity. You get to customise your own plush bear from scratch, choose outfits and accessories and even pick its personality on its dedicated “passport”.
3. Dinner at Shin Zushi
Wrap up the night with dinner at Shin Zushi, a popular and affordable sushi spot known for its fresh sashimi, generous portions and long queues (best to go early!).
Day 2
4. Breakfast at Chow Kit Hotel

Chow Kit hotel offers ala-carte dishes ranging from local favourites to some Western options.
We had the French toast and Avocado toast which were pretty decent for a morning treat.
5. Morning Foodie Tour

Start your day with a guided foodie tour arranged by the hotel, and explore KL’s local markets, snacks and breakfast classics such as the Roti Canai. It’s a fun way to learn about Malaysian flavours while easing into the day.
6. Check-out & Check-in: The RuMa Hotel and Residences

Next, head over to The RuMa, one of KL’s most luxurious yet warm boutique hotels. For the best experience without over-splurging, we recommend you stay in the Deluxe Suite, which comes with a calming earth-toned palette, plush bedding and a separate living area. The service here is famously good, and the interiors feel like a modern take on Malaysian heritage. Every little corner has its own story to tell, and it adds so much depth to the place.
7. Ana Tomy Planner Customisation

Head over to Ana Tomy, located in Pavilion KL which is just a short 5 minute walk from the hotel, where you can customise your own planner — from cover to paper type to add-ons. They’re really popular online and even provide international shipping in case you have no plans to visit KL.
8. 13DE Marzo Cafe

If you’re into cute things, we recommend a coffee break at 13DE Marzo Cafe, which is the viral Shanghai teddy bear brand that has recently opened in KL. They are well known for their drinks with tiny teddy bears hugging the cup, which makes them so cute and charming.
Then continue your retail therapy at the shopping mall, one of KL’s best malls for fashion, lifestyle and beauty shopping.
9. Dinner at ATAS

For dinner, enjoy a festive set dinner at ATAS, which is located inside the hotel. The dishes are refined, beautifully plated and rooted in local ingredients, giving you a true taste of elevated Malaysian cuisine.
Dishes include Festive Pie Tee, Roasted Beet Salad, Butternut Velouté, Angus Striploin or Chicken Mosaic and a dessert – Bûche de Noël. The 3-course meal costs RM228 per person, while the 4-course meal costs RM268 per person.
10. Drinks at SEVEN Lobby Bar

After dinner, head to the hotel’s SEVEN Lobby Bar to enjoy their latest festive collection – Enchanted Gin Collection: The Gin Spell (Flight of 3). The bar features 77 curated gins, with cocktails crafted like little works of art and infused with a touch of fairy-tale magic.
Day 4
11. Breakfast at The RuMa
Start your morning slow with breakfast at the hotel. Their breakfast spread offers a mix of local and international dishes, all prepared fresh.
Highlights include a Parmesan cheese wheel scrambled eggs, and an extensive menu of freshly cooked egg dishes including choices like Sambal Udang Omelette and Potato Masala Omelette. They also offer farm-to-table fresh vegetables at the salad bar.
12. Sunday Brunch Buffet

If it’s a Sunday, don’t miss their Sunday Brunch Buffet – The Sunday Table, a huge spread of fresh seafood, roasts, desserts and seasonal specials. It’s indulgent but worth every bite. What’s special is their cooked to order from Mibrasa Charcoal Oven including unique dishes not found in normal restaurant buffets like Seasonal Oyster Rockfeller, Foie Gras Egg Cocotte, Bao Bun Lam Ribs, Fish Curry Tacos and each person can even select one star item between the River Lobster Pasta and Borneo Lobster Thermidor. In case that’s not attractive enough, they even have free-flow Beef Wellington at the buffet spread.
13. Enjoy Hotel Facilities

Spend the rest of the afternoon enjoying the hotel’s gorgeous facilities. Whether you want a dip in the pool, spa time, or just relaxing in the suite, The RuMa is made for slow, luxurious stays.
14. Dinner at Santai

For dinner, head to Santai, which offers warm comfort-style BBQ dishes in a cosy atmosphere by the swimming pool. It’s great for unwinding after a day of relaxing. Otherwise, you can also head out to explore KL for many food options.

15. Cafe-hop at OGA

Stop by OGA, a minimalist cafe known for its Matcha and Hojicha drinks, plus Japanese sandos, makis and other bites. They’ve also recently launched the viral -86°C drink.
16. Afternoon Tea at The Librari, The RuMa

Before heading out, enjoy an indulgent Afternoon Tea at The Librari. Expect delicate sweet and savoury pastries, as well as premium teas and mocktails served in a calm and intimate lounge. You can visit the lounge anytime outside dining hours, and enjoy reading some books or playing board games such as Chinese Chess and English Chess.
17. Visit the Petronas Twin Towers
End your KL trip with a visit to the iconic Petronas Twin Towers, whether you’re taking photos from the park, heading up the Skybridge or simply enjoying the skyline before heading home.
