LEGOLAND Malaysia launches MINILAND Singapore

Marina Bay Sands in miniature LEGO form at MINILAND Singapore

Miniature Marina Bay Sands, Gardens by the Bay, and Singapore Flyer… in LEGO form?

Just in time for Singapore’s 60th birthday, LEGOLAND® Malaysia has launched a stunning new version of its beloved MINILAND Singapore. This revamped attraction is bigger, more interactive, and filled with delightful surprises that celebrate Singapore, all built using over 1.5 million LEGO® bricks.

A huge revamp from its older version!

Originally opened in 2012, MINILAND Singapore has undergone a massive transformation. The new version took over 16,000 hours to complete and spans more than 240 square metres. Inside, you’ll find 16 large-scale models, 10 boats, 80 vehicles, and over 100 miniature scenes, each filled with over 1,600 tiny LEGO® people (also known as Minilanders) that bring the city to life.

With misting waterfalls, moving vehicles and sound effects, the entire area has been designed as a multi-sensory experience. Visitors can now walk through a miniature Singapore and discover interactive features, charming local touches, and creative storytelling around every corner.

Must-see highlights at MINILAND Singapore

Here are some of the standout features in the new MINILAND Singapore:

  • Marina Bay Sands: The tallest model in the area, standing at 4 metres, shows off one of Singapore’s most iconic skyline views
  • Singapore Flyer: This 3.4-metre model actually rotates, and includes fun scenes like cultural performances happening below the wheel
  • Merlion Fountain: A crowd favourite, guests can press a button to make the Merlion spray water from its mouth
  • Cloud Forest & Flower Dome: Featuring mist effects, lush gardens, and waterfalls, this build captures the magic of Gardens by the Bay in miniature form
  • One-Table-Left Race: A fun interactive game where visitors race LEGO® families through a bustling food festival to grab the last table

Whether you’re a young LEGO® fan or simply nostalgic about Singapore, there’s plenty to enjoy. Some scenes respond when you press buttons, while others hide little surprises or cutaways that reveal what’s going on inside buildings.

How long should you stay for?

If you’re wondering how much time you should allocate for MINILAND Singapore, I’d say about 30 minutes to an hour, depending on how crowded it is.

The area isn’t that huge. Think — the size of 2-3 tennis courts.

But, if you’re a true LEGO® fan who wants to examine every single bit of detail — and trust me, there are tons to appreciate — you might want to allocate at least an hour.
