Singapore River Festival 2026: 13 things to do this year

Singapore River Festival 2026 The Quay Collective Boat Quay Clarke Quay Robertson Quay

Singapore River Festival turns 10 this year, and it’s taking over Boat Quay, Clarke Quay, and Robertson Quay with interactive light installations, live music and acrobatic acts, and river-side chill-out spots — most of them free. From 11 to 20 September 2026, the whole stretch along the river becomes one long, walkable festival, with ticketed events available for you to explore more..

Now in its milestone 10th edition under the theme “The Quay Collective”, Singapore River Festival 2026 brings the three quays together through three distinct themed zones — Entertainment Zone @ Boat Quay, Expression Zone @ Clarke Quay, and Lifestyle & Wellness Zone @ Robertson Quay.

Here’s a breakdown of all 13 installations and activities, plus three special ticketed experiences if you want to explore beyond the main programme.

Things to do at Singapore River Festival 2026

1. The River Rhapsody

At Read Bridge, light, colour and music respond to your own movement — a gesture is enough to shift the bridge’s lighting or nudge the live soundtrack. It runs nightly from 11 to 20 September, 7.30pm to 10.30pm, making it one of the few installations you can revisit across the entire festival period.

2. Riverside Cinema

Outside STPI, catch a free family-friendly outdoor screening of How to Train Your Dragon (2025) on 19 September, 7.30pm to 9.30pm. Tune in through the Cinewav app with your own headphones, or borrow a set onsite. Bring a mat if you want to skip the provided seating.

3. The River Echo Chambers

Tucked into Kinrara Lane next to To;asta at 18 Circular Road, this back-alley projection installation turns a heritage shophouse wall into a portal through the Singapore River’s past, present and future. Tune in through the Cinewav web app for the accompanying soundtrack as the stories unfold around you.

Catch it from 11 to 13 September, 7.30pm to 10.30pm.

4. MONOPOLY: Hidden Singapore

This self-guided adventure sends you from Boat Quay to Clarke Quay solving clues sent through WhatsApp. You’ll solve interactive puzzles, uncover hidden gems, and discover the rich heritage and lesser-known stories of Boat Quay and Clarke Quay at your own pace.

Festival bundle price is $61 that’s worth $77.90 in value, with an extra 10% off from 11 to 20 September using the code SRF10 — book your date through Fever.

5. The Flow of Serenity

On the riverbank in front of King’s Centre, a guided audio meditation plays through the Cinewav web app while light ripples through the trees and reflects across the water. It’s only on for two nights — 19 and 20 September, 8pm to 10.30pm — so it’s worth planning around for a calmer, seated experience.

6. Matcha Central

Clarke Quay Central’s Level 1 Atrium turns into a matcha hangout from 18 to 20 September, 11am to 9pm, with live DJ sets, a curated lifestyle market, and a hands-on matcha whisking appreciation masterclass. It runs later in the festival than most other installations, so it’s a good one to save for the second weekend.

7. Acai Social

The Riverhouse (Yang Club), held in Clarke Quay’s oldest building, swaps cocktails for acai bowls on 12 September, 3pm to 6pm — a daytime sober party with DJ Lenerd and a heritage setting reimagined for a younger crowd.

Tickets from $30.

8. The River Song Parade

The boat performance runs from 8pm to 8.30pm, followed by the land procession from 9pm to 9.30pm on 11 and 12 September.

9. The River Emergence

11. The River Illuminates

The River Illuminates light and sound display at Robertson Bridge, Singapore River Festival 2026

It runs nightly from 11 to 20 September, 7.30pm to 10.30pm, and is the calmer counterpart to The River Rhapsody at Read Bridge.
