TwoSet Violin performs “Brain Rot” classical music in SG this July

TwoSet Violin's Brett Yang and Eddy Chen on stage with the Singapore Symphony Orchestra

TwoSet Violin’s Sacrilegious Games tour finally lands in Singapore, and the local stop is one of the few on the entire world tour with a full symphony orchestra behind the duo.

Most cities get Brett Yang and Eddy Chen with a single pianist. Singapore gets the Singapore Symphony Orchestra with conductor Joshua Tan.

The Australian violin duo behind one of YouTube’s biggest classical music channels is doing two nights at Esplanade Concert Hall on 2 and 3 July 2026. Standard tickets run from $98 to $238, with a Cat 1 + Meet & Greet package at $288. The concert is eligible for SG Culture Pass redemption from 30 April.

What to expect?

Sacrilegious Games is the format TwoSet has been touring since late 2025, and it leans hard into the bits that made them famous online. The audience votes on which concerto movements they want to hear played live. The duo takes on physical challenges mid-performance, with hula-hooping while playing the violin being one of the recurring stunts.

The programme runs 90 minutes including a 20-minute intermission, and pulls from fan-favourite TwoSet pieces alongside iconic classical works by Mozart, Beethoven, Vivaldi and Tchaikovsky. The Singapore version is meaningfully different from what audiences got at the Barbican in London or in Berlin. There, Brett and Eddy play with pianist Sophie Druml only. Here, they have the full SSO under Joshua Tan, which gives the orchestral pieces a weight the European stops do not get.

Brett Yang and Eddy Chen are conservatory-trained violinists who built a 10-million follower internet following on classical-music memes and serious technical commentary, leavened with running Ling Ling jokes about practising 40 hours a day. The actual playing is the part that gets lost in the meme reputation, and the live show is where it lands hardest.

Why it’s worth going?

TwoSet’s core schtick has always been making classical music accessible by goofing around with two violins and a pianist, but Singapore is one of the rare tour stops where the audience interaction and meme bits sit on top of an actual full SSO performance.

If you are a TwoSet Violin fan, this is the version of the show to catch.

If you have never watched a TwoSet video and just want to see the SSO do something playful for once, this also works as a low-pressure entry into a classical concert. The duo built their career on dragging classical music away from its tuxedo-and-silence reputation, and that energy is most of what you are paying for.

Cat 1 + Meet & Greet upgrades at $288 sell out fast on this tour, so book that tier first if you actually want to shake their hands.

Tickets ranges from $98 (Cat 5) to $238 (Cat 1); Cat 1 + Meet & Greet at $288; $73.5 concession (Cat 5 only)
