I checked in expecting a cute hotel with decent amenities, but I left genuinely impressed (and a little obsessed).
I came for the aesthetics, but stayed for the surprisingly thoughtful touches — from the Dyson hairdryer in the suite to cultural classes that was actually immersive and fun.
It’s the kind of place that makes you feel like you’re living your best main-character life, whether you’re sipping sangria at sunset or indulging in a spa-like soak with your iPad propped up next to you.
After checking in at INNSiDE by Meliá Bangkok Sukhumvit, I decided to cancel a day’s worth of plans in Bangkok.
A rooftop that brings the “Wow Factor”

Let’s talk about that rooftop.
It’s not just the swing that’s a showstopper. There’s a gorgeous infinity pool with a transparent bottom. So while you’re taking a dip, you can peek down into the Spanish tapas bar below. And for the chill vibes? They’ve got a net hammock area, perfect for lounging, soaking in city views, and pretending you’re starring in a luxury lifestyle ad.
This rooftop space really does it all — sun-soaked afternoons, golden hour snaps, and after-dark city lights.
It’s the kind of place you want to spend your whole day… and then stay for the sunset.
Clean, chic and surprisingly affordable

iNNSiDE Bangkok’s minimalistic interiors are polished with crisp white tones; the kind that instantly gives “modern, clean girl aesthetic”. But they’ve also sprinkled in just enough Thai cultural touches to give it personality.
The space is massive too. Everything from the lobby to the hallways to the rooftop feels open and airy.
Considering that rates start from S$140 per night (for the basic room types), it’s a total steal, especially when you see what you’re getting.
The Townhouse Suite

I stayed in the Townhouse Suite, which felt more like an apartment than a hotel room. The bedroom and living room are separated which is perfect whether you’re staying with friends, a partner or just want to sprawl out in luxury. Don’t worry, the sofa bed was actually really comfy.
But the real winner was the bathroom. It felt like I’d walked into a boutique walk-in wardrobe. There were two basins (No more fighting over sink space), and a massive shower area with both a rain shower and a bathtub. They even had a tray for your iPad or laptop, so yes, you can stream Netflix while soaking in a bubble bath.
And THEN, I found a Dyson hairdryer in the room. I audibly gasped. It’s such a small touch but instantly made the whole stay feel that much more luxe.
Cultural workshops at iNNSiDE

One of the things I loved most about INNSiDE was how they go beyond just being “a place to sleep”. They offer cultural experiences and workshops for guests, from local market tours to a proper Thai boxing class (฿500–600/person).
I joined the Muay Thai class and had the best time. The coach walked us through all the basics, punches, kicks, stance work, followed by some shadowboxing and finally, padwork with the coach himself.
LUZ Bangkok Tapas Bar
Speaking of food, I’m usually a bit “meh” when it comes to hotel dining. But LUZ Bangkok Tapas Bar absolutely surprised me. I ordered three tapas dishes and one dessert, and every single bite was amazing. From flavour to presentation, it felt like a proper fine dining experience.

Even better? The vibe. The bar is tucked into a cosy corner with panoramic views of the Bangkok skyline, making it such a romantic little escape. I was solo on this trip, but it was still such a lovely, peaceful moment to enjoy the food, sip on a cocktail, and watch the city lights.

And if you’re around during lunchtime, definitely try the Pinto Set Lunch — just ฿350 for a four-course meal and dessert.
