Onsen was the last thing I would expect to see in a Bangkok hotel.
But this was actually one of Staybridge Suites Bangkok Thonglor’s most unique features — a dedicated spa area for both men and women.
Designed to provide ultimate relaxation, these areas feature traditional Japanese onsen and saunas, making it the perfect retreat after a long day of exploring or meetings.

First impression

I personally found the onsen to be a rejuvenating experience, stepping into the warm, mineral-rich water instantly melted away the fatigue from a day spent navigating Bangkok’s lively streets.
A spacious retreat

During our stay, we experienced the comfort of the One-Bedroom Executive Suite, which features a spacious bedroom, a well-appointed bathroom with a bathtub, a cosy living room which comes with a room divider, and a fully functional kitchen.

The suite is designed with long-stay travellers in mind, offering convenient amenities such as a microwave, a full-sized refrigerator, and even a washing machine — ideal for those who prefer to pack light and do laundry on-site (like us).
There were a few occasions when we wanted a quick late-night bite, and the microwave came in handy as well.

A romantic rooftop dining experience
For those looking for an unforgettable dining experience, the hotel’s rooftop is home to Lacol, one of the most Instagrammable restaurants in the city. Fortunately for us, we managed to book an exclusive glass dome for a romantic and intimate evening with breathtaking city views.
The aesthetic was on point, and the food quality did not disappoint either. While you are certainly paying a premium, the experience was well worth it.

A pool with a view
Although not technically a rooftop pool, the outdoor swimming area provides an uninterrupted, open-sky experience that creates the illusion of being atop the city. With no shelter covering it, guests can bask in the sun or enjoy an evening swim under the stars, making it an ideal escape from the hustle and bustle.
Fitness & Wellness Amenities
Health-conscious travelers will appreciate the well-equipped gym, which includes treadmills, ellipticals, stationary bikes, two adjustable benches, and free weights.

A pet-friendly stay
Staybridge Suites Thonglor extends a warm welcome to four-legged guests as well! One of the few high-quality pet-friendly hotels in Bangkok, this property provides special pet-friendly in-room amenities, ensuring that furry companions enjoy a comfortable stay.
There’s also an outdoor garden, perfect for evening walks at The Patio, allowing pets and their owners to unwind together.
Vibrant neighborhood
The hotel is also conveniently located in one of Bangkok’s most exciting neighborhoods, offering easy access to everything from traditional Thai markets to modern fine dining experiences.
Thonglor is known for its eclectic mix of trendy cafes, upscale bars, and cultural attractions, making it a sought-after destination for travelers seeking both authenticity and luxury.
Social hour & work-friendly spaces

Beyond a place to stay, Staybridge Suites Bangkok Thonglor also aims to facilitate social interaction among their guests.
Social Hour is held on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays from 5:30 to 6:30pm, offering complimentary drinks and appetisers for their guests. Feel free to mingle with other travellers, or simply enjoy the freebies.
For workaholics, the hotel also offer a co-working space with complimentary snacks, tea, and coffee. Additionally, the 24/7 cafe in the lobby is perfect for those who need to work late into the night. I would have love this spot if I had solo-travelled.
