From the moment we stepped into this hotel lobby, we knew we were in for an indulgent stay. Everything at InterContinental Bangkok Sukhumvit, from the stunning interiors to the impeccable service, felt carefully curated to provide a luxurious treat.
But here are some stand-out reasons why you should consider this hotel for your next stay in Bangkok.
Planning your itinerary? Here 37 best things to do in Bangkok
The indoor infinity edge pool

I’ve seen my fair share of hotel pools, but the indoor infinity edge pool at InterContinental Bangkok Sukhimvit completely took my breath away the moment I opened the door.
With a stunning view of the city skyline, it felt like an urban oasis.
I only wish we had a longer stay to fully enjoy it! Whether you’re taking a relaxing dip or just lounging by the water, this pool is a must-visit spot during your stay.
Pillow customisation
One of the most unique features of our stay was the Pillow Customisation Service. Honestly, it got our jaw dropping when we first noticed the card on our bedside table.
We got to choose from different pillow types, and we opted for the cooling pillow and the long body pillow. It’s the little details like these that make a difference, and the hotel’s attention to guest comfort was truly impressive.
Spacious room with stunning design

We stayed in the Premium Room, and it was pure luxury. The room was incredibly spacious, featuring a sleek and modern design with warm tones that made it feel cozy yet elegant. A chaise longue by the window provided the perfect reading nook, and the duvet bench at the end of the bed was another thoughtful touch.
The bathroom was huge, and the unique design element of being able to open a separator to reveal the bathtub from the room made it perfect for couples looking for a romantic getaway.

Club Lounge access
One of the best perks of staying in a Premium Room is the Club Lounge access.
We had a private check-in experience with a welcome drink (you can choose alcoholic or non-alcoholic), which made the arrival process seamless and relaxing. Having the option of breakfast at either the Club Lounge or AVA was another bonus.
While the Club Lounge offers a quieter, more private setting, we personally recommend AVA for its impressive variety. Plus, if you go early (around 6:30am), it’s not crowded at all!
Breakfast buffet

Speaking of breakfast, the selection was incredible! Aside from the usual breakfast variety, there were around 4-5 different juice flavors (including beetroot and guava) and even a honeycomb bar where you could add fresh honey to your toast, coffee, or yogurt.
Prime location
Being situated near the Thong Lo BTS station also means that we had easy access to some of Bangkok’s most exciting neighborhoods. Sukhumvit is known for its high-end shopping, rooftop bars, Michelin-starred restaurants and vibrant nightlife.
For foodies, Mae Varee, one of the most famous mango sticky rice shops in Bangkok, is nearby and boasts nearly 3,000 reviews on Google!
Rogues Bar: Thai-inspired cocktails

One of the highlights of our stay was visiting Rogues Bar, where the cocktails are inspired by Thai culture. We tried the Mango Sticky Rice and Thai Iced Tea cocktails, and both were incredible. It’s always fun to see local flavors infused into drinks, and Rogues Bar nailed it.

Anyway, as mentioned above, this was what the lobby of the hotel look like — practically a modern Thai palace. The intricate decor and structures truly set the tone for a luxurious stay.
Another great perk? The hotel offers a Buy-One-Get-One-Free Happy Hour from 5pm to 7pm on local beers, wines, and classic cocktails, an excellent way to unwind after a day of exploring.
