Our honest review of Live Twice
Two words to describe our experience at Live Twice — immaculate vibes. Honestly, the slightly higher prices here did deter me multiple times, but I’m glad I gave it a shot anyway.

Cocktails at Live Twice
The Bamboo cocktail was like a garden, offering a diverse mix of fruity and herbaceous notes.

It starts of crisp, but the more you let it linger on your palate, the more the botanical notes sprouts. I mainly tasted hints of apples and flower, and I enjoyed how all those flavours mellow out into a rich syrupy aftertaste.

Meanwhile, the Midori had a similar botanical profile.
It’s intriguing that their Midori incorporates a homemade chartreuse, which I anticipated would create a more robust cocktail. Surprisingly, it was light on the palate, with bright, zesty accents — an ideal way to kick off the night.

For a touch of sweetness, we recommend the Evergreen, a creamy and indulgent cocktail. The matcha brought a pleasant grassy note, while the oolong added a subtle, toasty undertone in the background. However, the standout is the Diplomático Reserva Exclusiva rum, renowned for its rich, syrupy profile, which elevated the entire drink.

Lastly, if you’re looking for something to slap you awake after a long day at work, you have to get the Vesper. It’s punchy and bold, and the fun part is — you get to choose which glass you want it served in.
All cocktails are priced at $28.
Food at Live Twice
Live Twice serves yoshoku, a type of cuisine in Japan that merges western elements with Japanese flavours.

Of which, we recommend the Fried Baby Squid ($16), a no-frills snack to go with your drinks. The flavours were kept simple. But for the portion you’re getting, we thought it was quite reasonable for the price.
And of course, eating fatty food while drinking does reduce the chances of a hangover too.

Their food menu also includes big plates like the Wagyu Curry Rice Bowl ($22) and Pork Katsu Sando ($35), Seafood Platters ($68 for 2 pax) and desserts.
