The treatment began with a scalp analysis. I had to fill in a form to describe my current scalp and hair condition and what I needed help with. It is a lengthy form, but it helps the specialists tweak the treatment to suit your needs.
I’ve always had a bad habit of picking at my hair cuticles when stressed or restless and it had been an especially hectic period for me. But the results of the scalp scan was honestly better than what I had expected. Redness and dandruff were still visible but it was generally in an acceptable condition.
While there were minor issues with my scalp, I didn’t realise how much cleaner it could get after the treatment. My pores were unclogged, the redness had subsided and there was an obvious sheen that was absent prior to the treatment.
Treatment process
We started with a hair wash that included shampooing and conditioning. Her fingers expertly wove the shampoo into my scalp with the right amount of pressure. Exfoliation of the hair follicles took place after, ensuring that my scalp is free from any gunk for their ampoules to work effectively.
Hair mask was up next, and I was once again able to enjoy another scalp massage.
Afterwards, she applied their signature H2 Cell Repair Ampoule, which repairs damaged cells, improves cellular health and restores scalp health. Aside from hydrogen, the addition of botanical extracts in the ampoule promotes cell detoxification and enhances blood circulation for the scalp.
To enhance the absorption of the nutrients, she applied galvanic current onto my scalp with a metallic tool with rounded ends. Despite how scary the treatment sounds, there was no electric or static feeling at all. In fact, it just felt like another form of head massage.
Verdict
It was my first scalp treatment. Not only did I have zero expectations of the results, I didn’t realise my scalp would be pampered like that. I am a sucker for head massages so I’ll give ample credit when hair treatments include ample massages.
The staff’s friendliness and the ambience calmed my nerves upon entering. My specialist was also patient and clear as she explained the process. During the treatment, the refreshments, presented on a fancy tray, made it especially easy for me to relax.
