ParTea is such an underrated bubble tea store in Singapore and it seems like its popularity is faltering even more since the permanent closure of their Suntec City outlet.
From seven outlets islandwide to two, located at Macpherson and Lau Pa Sat, you might be skeptical about the quality of ParTea’s drinks. But, they’re honestly not too bad.
What we tried at ParTea
Rainbow Teas
ParTea names their fruit teas “Rainbow Tea”, derived from the colourful mix of fruits. Their menu includes Green Tea ($6.5), Black Tea ($6.8), Sijichun ($6.9) and Gaoshan Oolong ($6.9).
I’ve always thought Green Tea and Oolong was a poor mix with fruits. Most fruit teas would use some sort of black tea, because the bitterness would pair well with the natural sweetness of the fruit mix.
But, instead of regular black tea, we ordered the sijichun, translating to four seasons in Chinese, as it’s a more unique option that other bubble tea stores don’t offer
The tea is infused with a variety of fruits including strawberries, watermelon, mango, lime and more. With a good balance of tea and fruits, this is a lighter and healthier alternative for those that crave for a zesty and refreshing drink.
I was also surprised to find that there were pearls in ParTea’s fruit teas. But, they were perfectly cooked, soft on the outside and slightly chewy on the inside.
Fluffy Cloud Teas

For something a little sinful, you might be tempted to try their Fluffy Cloud Tea series, which is essentially a cup of tea with cheese foam. However, we would advise against it as the cheese foam was too thick in taste and texture.
Even when we tried drinking straight from the lid, none of the cheese foam actually went into our mouths. It was like it was stuck there or something. Next, the cheese completely overpowered the tea. Perhaps Oolong just isn’t a good pairing, but I wonder how the other options fare as well.
