Good warabimochi in Singapore is already hard to find, let alone a good matcha one!

Warabimochi Kamakura’s new Matcha Warabimochi comes in the following form:

  • 2-Piece Cup ($5.9)
  • 2-Piece Matcha Cup with Ice Cream ($7.9)
  • 5-Piece Matcha Box ($10.9)
  • 10-Piece Matcha Box ($17.9)

If you’ve tried their Original Warabimochi before, you’ll know how soft they are, and the matcha one is no different.

They add a secret formula to their locally-sourced bracken flour to achieve that melt-in-the-mouth texture

However, instead of a nutty kinako powder, their new offering is doused in a generous amount of high-quality matcha powder.

It was grassy and astringent — if you’re a matcha purist, you’re going to love this.

For those who prefer a sweeter treat, drizzle in their Kuromitsu Syrup ($1.9), made with premium black sugar sourced from Okinawa.

The Black Sesame Warabimochi Drink is available in Milk ($7.9 for small, $9.9 for medium) and Soy Milk ($7.9 for small, $9.9 for medium).

We got the Black Sesame Milk and i was so fragrant. I thought it was going to taste too rich and cloying. But it was surprisingly light on the palate even though it had a potent nutty and deep aroma.

When will the new Takashimaya be opened?

Warabimochi Kamakura has officially opened on 29 June 2024.

Location: 391 Orchard Road, #B2-34, Takashimaya Shopping Centre, Singapore 238872
