Wild caught Alaskan Salmon with mashed potato and pesto sauce at Tribeca Bar & Bistro

Located at the Grandstand, Tribeca serves a wide variety of western dishes, from all-day breakfasts to hearty mains, such as pasta, grilled meat, and burgers.

Start the meal with their finger-food; all are priced at $12.

Tribeca’s speciality is the Chargrill Pork Collar. Meanwhile, those who prefer a lighter flavour can opt for their Chicken Yakitori. The meat was tender, while the sauce umami with a light tang to excite your appetite.

The chefs also recommended the Long Tail Spring Roll. The skin was crispy, while the prawns had a refreshing crunch. This addictive snack was served with a bowl of tartar sauce.

Wild caught salmon tend tend be less fatty than the ones that are typically served in restaurants. However, they are void of artificial colourings, hormone boosters and antibiotics.

The latest addiction to Tribeca’s menu, the wild caught Alaska Salmon ($42) is perched atop a pool of mashed potato with a creamy pesto sauce. While the salmon was slightly under-seasoned, it paired well with the salty pesto sauce.

One of the more traditional variations in Singapore, the White Wine Vongole ($28) is prepared with only the essential ingredients. The chefs place a strong emphasis on the white wine and chili, giving it a herbaceous and spicy flavour. Perhaps it was the choice of white wine, but I thought pasta could have had a brighter flavour. A touch more parsley might help.
