Visitors Cafe review New Korean cafe in Tanjong Pagar with brunch & bakes

Vistors Cafe in Singapore

The team behind Tonshou, Seoul Noodle Shop, Noci Pasta Bar, and Wonderful Bapsang opens their first Korean-style cafe in Tanjong Pagar this Friday.

Visitors Cafe is a Korean-aesthetic space built around ube desserts, with alfresco seating and a pet-friendly policy.

Our review of Visitors Cafe

Food and drinks photos at Visitors Cafe

Visitors Cafe’s aesthetic follows the typical Korean cafe culture: clean, considered, the kind of space that doesn’t need a filter. The alfresco section is pet-friendly, which makes it a natural stop if you’re walking the Tanjong Pagar area on a weekend morning with your dog in tow.

Personally, I really love the vibes. It’s nicely lit, airy, comfy. If you’ve been to Noci Pasta Bar, it’s very similar. But the space is kinda small, so expect a queue if you’re visiting during the weekend.

What’s on the menu?

Visitors Cafe Menu

On the menu, you’ll find your usual coffee and matcha picks. But of course, you have to try their speciality drinks. Cloud drinks tend to be on the sweeter side, but I appreciated how their Matcha Cloud ($8) ended with a touch of astringency.

Ube Cloud Latte

Their Ube Latte ($7) was also nice and creamy. The manager at Visitors mentioned that they use premium ube powder from South Korea.

There’s also a small collection of wine and beer on the menu.

Ricotta Honeybutter & Ice Cream croissnat

Meanwhile, the food menu offers way more Instagrammable options. Their croissant selection includes Ricotta Honeybutter & Ice Cream ($17) — our favourite item on the menu. It was loaded with ice cream, doused in honey, and topped with a dollop of ricotta. But somehow, the vessel stayed nice and creamy.

For savoury items, the Truffle Egg Soldiers ($13) and Jambon Beurre Sandwich ($16) are great picks.

Mugwort Cheesecake

We also tried their Mugwort Basque Cheesecake ($11). The texture was alright, but it leaned towards a sweeter side. We did appreciate the unique flavour though; I don’t think I’ve seen a mugwort cheesecake in Singapore before.

Goldmoon Restaurant Group has been one of the more consistent operators in Singapore’s Korean dining scene — Tonshou for tonkatsu, Noci Pasta Bar for the pasta, Seoul Noodle Shop and Wonderful Bapsang rounding out the portfolio with authentic Korean food. Visitors is their first move into the cafe-dessert space, and it opens 30 May in Tanjong Pagar.
