Would you spend two hours of travel from Singapore to Johor Bahru (JB) for a burger? If it’s for Woodfire Burgers, the answer is “yes a thousand times”.
Woodfire Burgers shouldn’t be a stranger to most Malaysians, considering they have outlets all over the country; Johor alone already has 11.
We visited their newest one at the newly-opened, Eco Springs, beside Eco Palladium. Affordable prices, addictive flavours, here’s why we’re recommending Woodfire Burgers to everyone.
What we ate at Woodfire Eco Springs
Once you’ve taken a look at the menu, you’ll definitely be drawn to the Brisket Beef Burger (RM 38.9, $11).

A must-get, the cheeseburger is elevated with a thick slab of brisket, fried onions, and just a touch of pickles to balance all that richness. The brisket was literally melt-in-your-mouth, and the patty was so juicy.
Initially, I thought all this in a burger would be too much. I thought this was a burger that you’d most definitely have to share with someone so you don’t get sick of it. But at the end it, we were fighting for that last bite.

But even the cheeseburger by itself was amazing. Soft buns, succulent patties, and doused generously in burger sauce.
Other burgers on Woodfire’s menu include the Stuffed Cheese (RM 19.9), Smoked Burger (RM 23.9), and Mushroom (RM 22.9).
All burger patties are available in beef or chicken.
Other than burgers…

If you’re not a fan of burgers, but you’re dragged to Woodfire, don’t worrry.
The non-burger items on the menu includes a classic Cheesesteak (RM 17.9), Nashville Hot Chicken (RM 24.9) and Smoked Brisket (RM 45).
Prayer break time

If you do plan to visit any Woodfire Burger outlets, the one at Jotic is closest to JB Sentral checkpoint. We only went to Eco Spring as we had plans to play Twinkle Square at Eco Palladium.
Also, avoid visiting from 7-7:30pm as it’s the staff’s prayer time. While you’re allowed to wait inside the restaurant, you won’t be able to order.
