Located near Mount Austin, Johor Bahru, Coffee Cat House is one of the newer cat cafes in JB. The cats are really adorable — though they’re also rather inactive, but they are welcoming enough for gentle pats.
There’s no admission fee. All you have to do is order any drink or food, and you can stay as long as you like.

The newest pet cafe in JB, D.A Little Farm houses over ten different animals, including a skunk, fennec foxes and meerkats.
Hug their alpaca, scurry around with their pesky meerkats, feed their parrots, and get a feel of how jiggly their skunk is. This place truly is a haven for animal lovers.
This diverse animal cafe, aptly named D.A Little Farm, is run by the same team under Shi-ba Cafe, which is located on the second floor of the same shophouse.

3. OnlyNee Cafe
With three adorable ducks waddling around, this might be the most underrated pet cafe in JB.
OnlyNee is a duck cafe at Skudai, where you get to dine with ducks and even feed them. Each packet of snacks cost RM 2 ($0.6).
There is no admission fee. All you have to do is order at least one item on the menu. If you’re here for lunch, we recommend the Creamy Chicken Carbonara (RM16.9), which is about $4.8. Otherwise, you can opt for their milk tea which starts from RM 7.5.

4. Shi-ba Cafe
Conveniently located in Mount Austin, Shi-ba Cafe houses ten adorable and fluffy Shibu Inus that roam freely around the cafe, and visitors are invited to play and interact with them.
Aside from these cute furbabies, you also get to play with other dog breeds like German Shepard, Alaskan Malamute and Corgi. A 1-hour playtime at this dog cafe starts from RM 32, which includes a soft drink or ice cream of your choice.
Dog treats can also be purchased for RM 2.

Home by Tales of Paws is 2-storey shophouse that is segregated into different sections for dogs and cats, as well as a separate dining areas for the “hoomans”!
Although the cat cafe is situated 25 minutes away from the city of JB, it is worth the travel as Tales of Paws houses over 30 fluffy kitties including Munchkins, British Shorthair and Ragdolls.
Meanwhile, the dog section cares for ten rarely-seen gentle giant breeds: Old English Sheepdog, Bernese Mountain dog, Afghan Hound and more.

Perhaps the most unique animal cafe in JB, As Clouds features two adorable alpacas.
The best part is — there is no minimum spending required to enter this cafe, nor is there an admission fee.
The two alpacas are dressed in a colourful red cloth, and they are free to roam around the cafe to interact with you. You can grab some complimentary carrot sticks from the counter to feed them. But based on reviews, these alpacas are so friendly that they would just come over for a pet even if your hands are empty.

But convenience isn’t all Chucky Chappy Cafe & Pet Store has. Cuddle with over 20 cats, and other small animals like guinea pigs, chameleons, geckos and tortoises. Hourly passes start from RM 22.9 ($6.5).

Chow Q Cafe, inspired by “超 cute” (super cute), is a dog cafe in JB, which houses adorable and fluffy dogs including Chow Chow, Shiba Inu and Giant Poodles.
There is no admission fee to this dog petting cafe, and you can stay as long as you wish. However, you are required to order a minimum of one drink per person. The cafe serves mainly bubble tea drinks starting from RM 9.9, as well as finger food like fries and chicken. The staff are also very helpful in assisting us with photo-taking or getting the dogs to sit obediently for a better shot.

9. Corgi’s Talk Cafe
Corgi’s Talk Cafe, as the name suggests, houses a family of corgi.
The cafe is brightly lit with charming paw print designs on the ceiling. For the best experience, you will be able to socialise with several fluffy, cute, short-legged corgis. You’ll definitely enjoy an overload of cuteness if you are into corgis.

There’s no need to travel to Tokyo or Bangkok for their capybara cafe anymore as JB has just opened their very own capybara cafe!
Capyba Cafe, located just 25 minutes from the JB checkpoint, houses two adorable baby capybaras.
There’s no admission or entry fee required to enter the cafe. Instead, you have order one item at the cafe. In order to control the crowd, every diner is limited to a one hour session.
