When it comes to staycations, I love being surrounded by tranquil, lush greenery — especially in Singapore.
This is why Grand Hyatt’s Grand Mindful Escape is the perfect staycation package if you’re looking for a spot to truly unwind.
How mindful is it really?

I mean… just take a look at the spot. Although located at Orchard, the entire hotel is encapsulated with foliage, creating the illusion that you’re far from the city — we really couldn’t tell that ION Orchard was just a ten-minute walk from where we were.
And of course, the amenities were nothing short of fantastic.

Our experience includes a Body Blueprint consultation. I did a body scan on the Evolt Active machine to measure my body composition, before going through a 10-15 minute personalised assessment where the trainer goes through every part of the results and explains the numbers in detail, before giving me insights on how I can improve my physical wellbeing based on my current goals.

Grand Hyatt’s gym was also incredibly spacious and huge — one of the most well-equipped ones we’ve seen so far. They even had machines that you may not even find in some regular gyms outside.

After a good workout, we headed over to Damai’s gender-segregated hydrothermal facilities which include a Dual Therapy Sauna, Halo Steam Room, Air Lounge Hydro Pool and Contrast Therapy Showers. There are also spa treatments available for a top-up.
Personally, I found the complimentary wellness facilities sufficient in helping me recover and relax.

But what intrigued me the most, and the main reason I loved this stay, was their outdoor hydrotherapy wellness pool and lush garden cabanas.
Who wouldn’t enjoy a pool designed like an outdoor onsen? You can unwind with a water massage from the jets or simply soak under the warm sun.
What about the new rooms?

Grand Hyatt underwent a full revamp in July 2025, and we stayed in their Deluxe King Room (54 sqm), complete with a king bed, multipurpose table, and a cosy reading chair.

The expansive en suite bathroom features a rain shower, bathtub (subject to availability), dual-sink vanity, and even a walk-in wardrobe (a total dream for me at home, so I was thrilled to experience it here!).
Club lounge at Grand Hyatt
We also had club access at The Grand Club, which included free-flow alcohol and refreshments from 5:30–7:30 pm daily.
Club guests can also enjoy the use of a private Boardroom, perfect for meetings or quiet discussions (with one complimentary hour per stay, reservation required, subject to availability).

It’s a great spot to relax or catch up on work beside the full-length windows and sheer curtains.
Guests can also choose to have their breakfast at The Grand Club.
*Club access is available only for suite categories and is not included with Deluxe rooms

Our package also included a buffet dinner for two at StraitsKitchen, featuring local favorites like Chicken Rice, Laksa, Popiah, Indian Curry, Prata, and more. We especially recommend the freshly made Popiah, the Indian cuisine section, and of course, the Chicken Rice, which were all exceptional.
