If you’ve ever wanted to paint pottery without the pressure of studio time slots or whispering in hushed tones around strangers, Oh Glorious Clay and Home With The Chans have collaborated to launch this Home Pottery Kit to your doors.
Whether it’s a chill date night, a wholesome friends’ get-together or even a low-key hen’s party, this kit is pretty much an excuse to have a little creative chaos in the comfort of your own home.
Why home pottery > studio sessions?

We get it. Not everyone likes staying at home. But, even as an extrovert like myself, I did really enjoy painting pottery at home, rather than in a studio. Here’s why.
- No awkward time limits
Some pottery studios run on tight schedules. You get 1–2 hours, then it’s time to pack up, even if you’re still stuck deciding between painting a flower or sunset. With the home kit, you’ve got up to two weeks to finish your plate. That’s two whole weeks to paint, repaint, overthink, snack, nap, and then paint again. - Privacy
There’s something nice about being able to gossip or blast Spotify music without worrying about bothering the table next to you. There also won’t be any judgment if you’re painting in PJs. - Excuse to host a gathering
Want a reason to invite friends over? This pottery kit doubles as an activity and a conversation starter. Plus, everyone gets to bring home a plate that they’ve crafted.

How it works:
- Order via Oh Glorious Clay’s website
- The Home Pottery Kit gets delivered to your doorstep
- Finish painting on the plates within 2 weeks (this is the deadline!)
- Snap a pic of your masterpiece and DM them the details
- Pack it all up according to the kit’s instructions — packing materials are included
- Oh Glorious Clay arranges a pickup
- Plates are fired and delivered back to you within 2–3 weeks

Each Home Pottery Kit comes with:
- 6″ ceramic plate
- 12 paint colours
- Paint brushes
- Palette and sponge
- Packing materials
*The paint materials will have to be returned after the experience
Prices of the Home Pottery Kit
- 2–6 pax: $50/pax
- 7–11 pax: $48/pax
- 12–16 pax: $45/pax
The prices are quite reasonable considering that pickups and delivery are included in the process!
Final thoughts

The process is creatively satisfying and fun, you don’t need to be good at art to enjoy this, and the fact that it all happens at home makes it way more relaxed than your average workshop. So if you’re looking for a new group activity or something sweet to do with your partner, this home pottery experience might just be your next favourite thing.
