If you are looking for a staycation that’s a little different from the usual hotel experience, Rainforest Wild Adventure East has just launched an all-new overnight glamping experience at the Crocodile Lodge, inviting guests to spend a night surrounded by nature while enjoying comfortable accommodation, exclusive after-hours activities, and access to the park’s signature Adventure+ attractions. Here’s what we think about the new experience.
New Glamping experience at Rainforest Wild Adventure East
During our stay, we checked into the Crocodile Lodge, a spacious 4m x 5m tent equipped with a queen-sized bed and a bunk bed, accommodating up to four guests. The tent is fitted with air-conditioning, complimentary WiFi, power outlets, and a private patio.

If you are someone who is not particularly fond of traditional camping, this experience felt much closer to a staycation than a camping trip. The air-conditioning was especially welcome after spending the day outdoors, and the beds were comfortable enough for a good night’s rest. However, we find that the pillows were too thick for our liking.

Bathroom facilities are shared among guests. While the toilets were generally clean and spacious, visitors who are less comfortable with communal facilities may prefer to utilise the family bathrooms available on-site. As the campsite is located within a natural environment, occasional insects can be expected around the facilities. Personally, the insects in the female bathroom took a little getting used to, though this is perhaps unsurprising given the rainforest setting.
Adventure+ Attractions with Fast Passes
One of the key highlights of the glamping package is complimentary access to all 9 Adventure+ attractions, along with 4 Fast Passes. However, guests should note that the available time to experience the attractions is relatively limited. Check-in begins at 3pm, while the park closes at 5.30pm, leaving only a short window on the first day to explore.
While having access to all nine attractions sounds impressive on paper, I personally felt that it would be difficult to fully maximise the benefit within the allotted time. Instead of trying to rush through everything, I would recommend prioritising a few standout experiences.
Canopy Glider

A relaxing aerial ride that offers panoramic views of the park and opportunities to spot wildlife from above. This was one of the most enjoyable attractions during our visit and is worth booking in advance.
Ravine Swing
One of the park’s more popular and thrilling attractions. Guests staying overnight may wish to visit early in the morning after breakfast, when queues are generally shorter.
Primate Climb
A beginner-friendly climbing experience designed to resemble movement through a forest canopy. While the course itself is not particularly challenging, the themed environment makes it a memorable experience.

Evening activities and guided trek
Beyond the adventure attractions, guests can participate in a range of optional evening activities. During our visit, these included trivia games and a “hidden animal” hunt around the campsite, where participants searched for animal figurines using torchlights for a chance to win small prizes.
Surprisingly, this ended up being one of my favourite parts of the stay. What initially sounded like a simple activity quickly became quite competitive as everyone enthusiastically searched for the hidden animals around the campsite.

The following morning, guests are invited to join a guided trek through Lemur Land. Lasting approximately 30 minutes, the walk offers an opportunity to observe the animals during their most active hours and gain additional insights from the guides. While the trek is relatively short, it provides a peaceful start to the day before the park becomes busier.
Dining Experience
Both dinner and breakfast are included in the package and served buffet-style. Overall, the quality of the food exceeded expectations, with several dishes standing out during our visit.

For breakfast, however, I found the Asian selections noticeably stronger than the Western offerings, both in terms of flavour and variety. If given the choice, I would recommend gravitating towards the Asian dishes.
